What do people mean when they say irrelevant? War in Iraq is almost a certainty, and France is doing all it can to make the UN is more useless than it already is. They're driving the final nail into the UN's coffin by their unwavering support of Iraq. We may owe them for bringing down the bloated UN someday.

The French are risking much simply to keep somebody in power to whom they can feel superior.

I was watching the news from France on C-SPAN last night, and it resembled the Twilight Zone. It's like we're dealing with people who refuse to admit the obvious. There were high-ranking political figures over there mocking Colin Powell. They said the weapons inspectors should go visit and inspect those sites that were in Powell's photo presentation. (I guess the simple French minds have yet to grasp the meaning of Powell's presentation, which was that Hussein cleaned up all those sites before the inspectors showed up.) Do the French just have simple minds, or are they as evil as bin Laden and Hussein? Or both?

They are just plain stupid. Most feel it really doesn't matter who rules them. They gave up Paris without firing a shot in WW2. Built defences against Germany where they could not be shot at. Germany went around them through Belgium and France hardly put up a fight.

They are also rabid anti-american. Yet many learn english. Many also would like to live in America.

He repeated France's view that "force is a last resort but we do not exclude any possibility."

This from the guys who simply blew up the Greenpeaceniks' boat as soon as they found out the Greenies wanted to meddle with their nuclear testing.

"We demand that YOU only use force as a last resort, but WE do not exclude any possibility when dealing with our enemies."

Let's play chess.

What happens when the U.N. decides not to agree to go after Iraq, and the U.S. goes it with our other allies who support the effort?

What happens to U.S. participation in the U.N.?

What happens to the U.N. international coalition?

It's international court system?

The ability for the U.N. to meet in New York?

Our payments of past dues?

The international monetary fund?

The world bank?

Just think of the French as the snail-eating branch of the democratic party.

France Says Time Not Right for New Iraq Resolution

In other words, the French are still making too much money from Iraq.
