Whenever I hear any reference to the USS Liberty, I know it will be made by a lying scum KKK racist. The Liberty is part of their bible of hate.

Figured we'd be seeing yet another rehash of this issue about now. It's obviously paramount in some circles, since we've heard statements in the last couple of days about how close Israel and the USA are, to bring up things like this so that the easily-led astray and latent anti-semitics can start ranting about Jews taking over the world, etc.

If the Liberty incident is cause to hang the folks in Tel Aviv out to dry, then by the same logic, what about the Iraqi exocet missile attack against a USN ship several years ago?

There are only 18 million Jews on this planet so I don't get it. I will admit that Jews are engaged, influential, wealthy beyond their numbers but I still don't get it. I can only attribute this to things going on in the non-material world. The story behind the story.

That being said, I want recognition, and apology, and possibly some money for the survivors adn families of victims if the attack on the Liberty.

I'd agree it's a strange time to be bringing it up. Just as a point of fact, Israel did apologize, and paid compensation (distributed by the State Dept), both to the families and for damage to the ship, in the 67-69 time frame.
