The other night on Greta, I heard that attorney, Bernie something, who she always has on. He said Scott's lawyer quit. I don't know where he got his info. He didn't elaborate.

I read somewhere the employer's last name is Van Innis and he was from Belgium?

Anyone see Scott on America's Most Wanted last night? He seemed very shaky. Gave his usual answers.


My sister sent me an email, she said,"Just as Gary Condit had 9/11 to divert attention from his problem, it
looks like the Columbia might save Scott Peterson, at least
publicitywise."

Her family posted something to the same effect on their home page.

Did LE find the people responsible for the robbery in the neighborhood Christmad Eve day? It seems possible Laci observed something going on and was taken away by these people. I read somewhere the police said there's no connection. Anyone know?

Those guys turned themselves in immediately, along with the stolen property. No way did they want to be associated with this.

The robbery at the neighbors' house was supposedly on the day after Christmas, so Laci had been missing for at least 2 days at that point.

As for SP's lawyer quitting, I too heard Bernie Grimm say that on Greta, and they were talking about it over on websleuths too. I think there hasn't been official confirmation of it--maybe the lawyer is trying to give Scottie one more chance by not letting on that he quit.

I'm begining to think Laci might not have made it back home after the trip to the salon on 12/23--what if she talked to her mother on her cell phone while they were out after the haircut?

Hmmm, very interesting thought! That would fit in with the supposed cold shoulder Laci was giving SP at the hairdresser's, when someone (on websleuths) said that she usually would stand around talking to her sister or whoever was cutting his hair, but that particular night she was apparently in a bad mood, and was standing over by the door, and then went out to the car right after he was finished.

I've been trying to find the post from websleuths that talked more about the gossip going around in the salon circles in Modesto, it was posted several weeks ago, and I didn't save it. But someone who worked in a salon there had stated that it was common knowledge that SP had a girlfriend. And s/he mentioned how Laci had been upset that night.

But that post and the thread it was on seem to have been cut along with a lot of things on websleuths--they have some space problems and keep paring back a lot of threads. I wish I could find it, but tried the other day and it's not showing up on any thread that I could find.

But maybe you're on to something, RR! Is there any confirmation that she actually made it home that night? I wish we'd hear on the forensics, that would tell whether there was a big fight at the house.

Yikes, isn't Feb 10 the date Laci was scheduled to give birth?

I saw the sister being interviewed and she said she did not notice anything unusual between her sister and Scott the evening she cut his hair.

I can't figure out the family relationships. Laci's mother goes by Sharon Rocha, I've seen that many places. Laci's brother is Brent Rocha; sister Amy Rocha (referred to as "half" sister in some articles); father Dennis Rocha. The step-father's name is Ron Grantski. Wouldn't the mother's name (at least) be Grantski? I'm confused.

Could be she maintains the name Rocha because it's her kid's last name. I know when I got my divorce, the very first thing I did was take back my maiden name so that I would never be associated with the ex again. But because my girls still share his last name, it's been more trouble than it was worth.

I've seen some articles call her mom, Sharon Grantski but the majority seem to use Rocha.

Ron Grantski has been the stepdad since Laci was 2 years old.....Amy Rocha is Dennis Rochas's daughter from his marriage after Sharon.

Amy and Sharon both have said that Laci seemed happy that night and nothing appeared wrong....not sure where this beauty shop rumor is coming from....the cops have the surveillance tapes from the beauty shop so they apparently would be able to tell which story is correct.

For now, I'll believe Amy and Sharon over unnamed sources and rumors.

Going through the county records shows that Sharon R Rocha owns a home with a mortgage. A Ronald F Grantski has state and federal tax problems. She may want to retain her name and investments as sole and seperate property to avoid problems, if that is the same Ron Grantski.

Doesn't alawyer have to get permission from a court to drop a client? Maybe that's why it isn't official yet.

Not that it matters, but I thought I read it was the girl friend's child whose (2nd) birthday was Feb 10.

If Scott was convicted of killing Laci and sentenced to die for it, who (if anyone) would collect on the life insurance policies for Scott and Laci???
