Shuttle Contact LOST-No Tracking Data During RE-Entry!

Shuttle has NOT been heard from or seen on tracking radar since 0800Hrs CDT. No contact at Merrit Island tracking station, no voice comm...DEVELOPING.

No, the best we can hope is that they can somehow emerge from the wreckage and get out... but the tumble on the command module could be huge.
I don't know how fast they were going at 200,000 feet.

if they have been able to get out...Not possible at 207K feet. Primary radar contact was lost which indicates the orbiter disintegrated.

Oh noooooo. Our pediatrian went down to watch the launch because one of his friends from Med School was on the Shuttle. I can only imagine what he is going through. Pray hard. Pray reallllly hard.
