I've spent a fair amount of time on DemocraticUnderground, basically because I have more fun arguing with people I disagree with than I do patting people on the back that I agree with. Unfortunate for me, but true. One thing that DU has going for it is the forum user interface. It is much, much better than that of FR - much easier to use and follow popular topics.

Ratings don't mean jack clinton when it comes to getting the peeples on da busses.
The rat base is not on the Internet except for too many furry faced communist professors with too much influence over bright eyed kids.
Then throw in the dysfunctionals including the too many from screwed up, or with no families.
