There is a strong tendency for some elements on this site to be excessively vicious in their crticism. They seem to suggest that the site is a crucible for refining conservative thought and therefore all's fair. Rubbish. If ideas themselves were all that were being crticized, I would not have a problem. However, all too often the attacks are personal and ad hominem attack ensues. This has a chilling effect on expression and promotes an approach where few want to provide a dissenting point of view that is based on an alternative conservative philosophy.
