LOL. it's a result of:

- the last fundraiser

- a lot of antihistamines (bad cold)

- a lot of brandy (with lemon, medicinal only :o)

- MS Paint (yup. should be obvious)

the amazing part is that i found it again.

Little Tommy probably figured the economy isn't going to turn around anytime soon and decided to make a run for it. I thought he'd still licking his wounds, well maybe we didn't do enough damage. Actually if HillDaBeast doesn't stab him in the back he'll probably be the front runner for the democratic nomination. Like that the idiot from fox, he may also be hoping that W screws up the war in Iraq, but since that's not likely to happen, a worsening economy is the dems best chance.

My concern and worry is that they're probably right about the economy, and if we don't see a recovery soon we may be toast in '04, may not even matter much who will run against W. The liberal media will surely do their part to keep the negative feelings about the economy alive, they did it in '02 and they'll keep on doing it this year, it doesn't take rocket science to see what they're doing. And if I didn't know any better I'd say there was a concerted effort to keep our economy from expanding, because they know it's their only chance back to power.

I am really looking forward to a landslide by W in '04, hopefully against Daschle. For that to happen though, we need to take the only real issue the dems will have and quickly turn it against them just like we did in the mid-term with Homeland Security. So bring it on little Tommy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!

I wish him the same success that the last South Dakotan had running for President--George McGovern. Remember that McGovern didn't even carry his home state of South Dakota in the 1972 election.

A lot of the fraugulent voting in South Dakota has be brought out into the open now.

You said it, and I have discerned anything that would give me confidence that this little election scam is being closed down.

I don't know the answser to that - I don't have a copy of the new law. However, Rush seemed to be of the impression that Daschle would have to give up his seat in order to run - whether that means before or if he wins the primary - I don't know.

Daschle's plan goes like this:

  1. George McGovern could have won South Dakota in 1972 by merely changing the minds of 5% of the electorare.
  2. The party is more liberal now than when my mentor ran then.
  3. I'm going to have trouble with Thune or Janklow anyway and am the natural leader of the party with Dick Gephart stepping down, so the nomination may be mine for the asking.
  4. If I tank in Iowa, New Hampshire and other early primaries, there is still time to drop out and run for re-election to the senate.
  5. The sheeple will forget and vote for me out of gratitude for running a spirited campaign and drawing the Democrat party back to the center. (Don't laugh, read McGovern's platform in 1972-- it is well to the right of most of the party now.)

How about Gary Hart? He's sleezable enough for the lib's but at the same time, most people don't know who the he!! he is. It could be a match made in heaven! What do you think?

Actually, I was just funnin' about Daschle / Condit. But they could run as Humorless and Lesshumor. As to Monkey Business Hart, Methinks that the Nov5 Mondull fiasco showed that dredging up the cadavers from the 70's is a no winner (except for certain hopelessly socialistic states). Much of their constituency are fairly young minorities, except for the elderly, who they continue to frighten into voting dim by demagoguing the 'pubs on SS). Their best bet is to go southern and young, IMO.

It's a good excuse for them to put Herseth's face on TV-- which is a good thing. Maybe she'll be the Dem's Anna Kournikova-- the political celebrity who doesn't actually win races. Senator Thune. Sounds good to me.

look at all the "expected" RAT-contestants for prez 2004 campaign, seems like they all have a fatalistic view of the senate prospects in the 2004/06 cycle...

look at who is expected to run...Dasshole, J-big-hair-Kerry, J-Liberalman, Bobby-cuban-cigar-Graham, J-the-other-Edwards..man, I sure feel like all the East Coast senRATS wanna jump ship far before the senate remains in Rep hands till 2008 (when the reps will have a more difficult run - all the REp freshmen will be up for 2nd term in 08)...

the funny thing about the MIA of ALgone is there wont be any giant killer in the demoRAT field for 04...

the way I see the senate race for 04 is 1) all depends on prez bush popularity - if Bush is still in the 60s - the RATS are finished 2) expect the unexpected - could Fitzgerald hold on - who knows, Moseley Braun may wanna spoil the party; how about Harry Reid - he is very vulnerable in NV, a state increasingly becoming heavily Rep....then the Dasshole Run...and who knows, if Gravvy Davis screws the Cali electorate bad enough, will the people republic of Mexifornia wanna replacement of Barb Boxer...what about Nickles in OK - he is gonna retire, how about Sen. JC Watts....or Ohio - will Vonivich wanna retire and Ohioians elect the highest ranking Black GOP as their next senator (could the Rep party put up 2 Black Senators in 04 to shame the RATS?? - one from the North, one from the South)...how about the match between Rudy and Chuckie...Chuckie is down 20 pts in the polls in a race with Rudy (and Chuckie is not in the media spotlight as long as Piliary is around)...3) how about a Kerry-Graham ticket in 04 vs McCain/?? vs Bush/??)..

I can't recall the last senate dual ticket win the prez election...the issue is if not Kerry - then who - Gary Hart, Wesley Clark - oh, pleaseee - but if Kerry carries the day, is he competitive enough for the South...Edwards look good on TV but can he even carry his home state North Carolina?? (Dole ran a weak campaign and still got 53% of the votes)...so could Graham a nice balance to get the latino votes - but would Graham wonna run second with Kerry...gonna be funnnn..

Thanks for the ping, sweetliberty; I haven't been on much for the past couple weeks.....it's been too hectic around here....I'm hoping soon, I'll get back into my routine.....

I sure hope Daschle runs for pres. He won't win. The good part, there's that new law in S. Dakota....to run, he'd have to step down, I believe, from the senate....that would be a reason why he wouldn't run...he must know he's got no chance of getting pres.....

the senate remains in Rep hands till 2008 (when the reps will have a more difficult run - all the REp freshmen will be up for 2nd term in 08)..

If those folks won open-seat races, they should do even better as incumbents. Graham, Alexander, Cornyn, Dole, Sununu, Saxby should have no problem in GOP states, Coleman should be fine too, Talent is up in 2006 but is likable and reaches out to minorities, big time. It's more likely the retirements that could get us: Warner (VA), Domenici (NM), even Cochran (MS), although that could be balanced by Rockefeller (WV), Biden (DE), Levin (MI), Harkin? (IA), & Lautenburg (NJ).

Who's the Ohioan you mentioned?
