May have been a blessing in disguise for the Raiders. Who knows? :-) Could be. But Shottenheimer didn't do it because he wished to have Deion's jersey hanging in their Walk of Fame (or whatever they have for retired greats). It was a spite signing. Phbbt. Sometimes signing someone late with that kind of spark can lift a team (even if it's past spark - if the guy's got no legs or hands left, he probably wouldn't play much anyway). However, after yesterday's Shallow End of the Pool game over the Chiefs, first time shutting them out (HA!), they may not need it!
