How many of these protesting NAGs went to all female schools, where 40-50% were indoctrinated into, ahem, preferring women. Time to close all single sex AND single race schools as they are breeding grounds for intolerance.

Well, I guess this means that ole Trent won't be invited to join Augusta...

The left is mimicking the PLO, Al-qaeda and Hamass in its tactics.

Ha, this is the type of site that will get about 100 hits a year, all from dedicated feminazis. We used to call this preaching to the choir.

LOL! When they finally get a chick membership in Augusta, they'll really believe they accomplished something.
I'm glad I live in a country where idle rich yentas have so much time on their hands that they see this as important.
In many countries, women face real problems everyday, like feeding their children or not getting shot by their leftist government.

I would imagine it will be only a short time before she's hit with something from the attorneys representing these companies about using their logos and trademarks without permission.

I heard that Michael Skakel is looking for a new golf partner.

Should be titled "Group posts entirely predictable tendentious press release on newfangled information superhighway site where nobody will ever see it again."
I'll consider the fight has been "brought to cyberspace" when their site has 1/10th of one percent of the active participants FR has.

Thanks.
Repeat liberally (so to speak.)

Wait a minute, their own website admits:
"Augusta is considered a model tournament for its beauty, decorum and tradition. "
So Ms. Burk wants to affect this tournament, this private club, and change Augusta's tradition?

Otherwise, the debate is at a standstill. Yep, the Times better start gearing up for more editorials.

Augusta is a bastion of tradition. One of the few truely traditional places left in the USA. Some people exist solely to destroy tradition, whether it be a golf club or the Boy Scouts. A lack of tradition in America causes fragmentation of the masses of like minded people who believe fervently in defending their individual and collective freedoms. I am not really interested in golf per se, but I believe that traditions, whether they be same sex organizations, historical organizations, religous or instructional exist to hurt nobody, but further the causes and belief of the members. They have that right to support like minded tradition. Especially tradition that hurts nobody physically. So what if feelings are hurt! Some people will cry about anything to get attention.

Very well said.

The Gray Lady is beating this issue to death.

No need to worry, Burk's group will fail just like the Million Mommy gun grabbers did.

Martha Burk aka 'that wretched woman with too much time on her hands' fails to acknowledge that women ARE allowed to play the course at the invitation of any member of the golf course. It isn't as if there are never any women in the clubhouse or having drinks after playing 18 holes. I still stand behind Mr. Johnson 100% for not caving into this nonsense.Isn't there like a 30,000 person waiting list or some freak number like that? Oh yeah lets just put women at the front of the line.No Martha, you won't win this one on your time, no matter how many articles the New York Slimes prints in your favor. This action will be done on Mr. Johnsons time.

Y'know what would solve this thing tomorrow? If the 300 members at Augusta all came out of the closet and admitted that they were homosexual. Protest over.
I mean, you think feminists are going to protest at a bunch of gay guys who just want to be left alone to play golf? Uh uh. Not at all politically correct. Who wants to be accused of being a homophobe? On the contrary, this is their civil right, isn't it? Of course it is. Gay men should be left in peace to live their own lives.
Not white heterosexual males, though. No way. The discrimminating S.O.Bs!!
Rights for women!!

I would suggest that Mr. Snow did not resign from Augusta to avoid a confirmation hearing problem. That issue will come up regardless of his resignation.
I suspect that he resigned to avoid putting the club and his fellow members at Augusta National through an additional cause for editorials from Howell Raines. I will also bet that he hated the whole idea of this resignation. He is paying a high price for service to the country (money and personal).
I wonder what President Eisenhower might have told Ms. Burk had she questioned his membership at Augusta or for that matter, at Blindbrook.
