What Republicans need are some of Hillary's files. The one on Trent "the ol' Miss cheerleader" Lott. The Repubs tell Trent that if he quits the Senate in a huff, due to Nickle's elevation, the files get released. That would kill any future lobbying bonanza Trent is contemplating.

Well I hope President Bush and Republican leaders sit down with their masters in the news media and the democrat party so they can pick an acceptable candidate to replace Lott. How about Jumpin Jim? I bet Hillary, Bill and Dashole would sign off on him!

What's the process now to have new elections for ML? I wonder if Nickles was sent out to start this last push to remove Lott? I believe Frist will win if he runs.

You know it's almost getting to the point where I am starting to believe my own conspiracy theories. To wit, that the republicans conspired with democrats and intentionally threw contol of the Senate to the democrats during the Jeffords fiasco so they wouldn't have all three branches of government, and could continue to play the Orwellian two-party control blame games. Hmmm..

Senator Nickles wouldn't have made this bold move without first counting votes. It looks like he will be the incoming Senate Majority Leader.

I've been patiently waiting for this shoe to drop, and now that it has, I have but one thing to say:
Y-E-S!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An unfortunate way to shuffle ol' Trent out of the door, but from a glass half full perspective, his stupid comments came at a good time (with Congress not in session).
Don is a solid leader who has had to suffer fools like Lott for too long.
Cream always rises to the top, eh?

I find this an interesting comment since there hasn't been an election for the senate majority leader.
Here are my thoughts on this subject.
Don Nickles from my state would make a great majority leader. He is just someone we would need to make sure the Demorats are not able to set or influence goverment policy as some idiot freepers amongest us would like.
The reason the Demorats want Lott gone however, is quite obvious. The Govenor of Missisippi is a Demorat and if Lott is ousted he would naturally appoint a Demorat to the Senate. That would give the Demorats 51 seats and an illegitimate majority.
The voters made it very clear on November 5th they want Republicans to run both houses of Congress. That they did not want the Democrat party to become the source of law in this country anymore. The Demorats know this full well but obviously they don't give a blankety blank what they the people want, they are going to do damn well as they please even if it ends up doing enormous harm to this country.
Sadam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden and all the other foreign terrorists would love to see this happen because they know with Democrats in charge, it would shift the focus of surveillence from the FBI away from them and towards pro-lifers, christians and all other critics and adversaries of the Democrat party. These groups the Democrats consider terrorists.
In the meantime, while all that happens, the dictators will continue to imprision and torture all of their adversaries and critics and hire professional rapists to visit their homes and rape their wives and molest their children and I might be so bold to say to I'm sure send kudos to those Bill Clinton butt kissers who are helping them out by misusing and abusing this web site by promoting and condoning the unlawful, unethical and sleazy activities of the Democrat party.
I might close by saying that ad-mons have been doing an excellent job of going after the Bill Clinton butt kissers who've been sign on and posting Demorat party propoganda. I say it's time for all of us as freepers to indentify those Bill Clinton butt kissers amogest us (I've had a dealing with one of those jerks on another matter) and make sure these jerks are not able to set or influence goverment policy.
Regards.

Good. Sound fellow.
Lott should recall how he behaved during impeachment - his idiocy and mendacity has finally come back to haunt him. Had he been a man of principle, I dare say conservatives would have fought like tigers to save him. As he betrayed the most important cause that ever came his way, his support is tepid at best. Just so.

Socialists of Amerika"

Where's the Cave-A-Lott defenders now?
To: rightwing2
I'm listening to Julian Bond, head of the NAACP, on CNN right now. Challenged on the double standard where Jesse Jackson and Robert Byrd can get away with stuff, he repeated the false statement from last week that, unlike Jackson and Byrd, Lott is "two or three heartbeats away from the presidency." Actually, it's Byrd who, as president pro tem of the Senate, is now fourth in the line of presidential succession. Lott, of course, is not in that line. This comes after Elijah Cummings and another black congressperson made the same false statement about Lott last week. They've got to know it's false by now.

Wow! A Senate Republican with stones! What's up with that?
To: rightwing2
The major difference between the two??
Lott has more hair; Nickles has more cajones. Little Tommy Daschle will not be able to push around Nickles as he did the limp-wristed light-loafered pom-pon twirling cheerleader.
To: rightwing2
I would like to take this opportunity to take partial credit for this. ;^ ) I have sent two letters to Nickles in the past couple of months, one when we won the majority, and one just the other day, practically begging him to challenge Lott for the spot. Mission (hopefully) accomplished, I should say!!
You're Welcome!! ;^ )

Nickles, and Frist both have outstanding ratings with ACU.
Nickles 100% in 2000, 92% in 2001.
Frist 92% in 2000, 100% in 2001.
