Parts of NY get buried from the Great Lakes snow effect, sometimes feet at a time, and it's almost impossible for weather forcasters to predict the amount that will fall. They usually just say 6 inches or more. What's great is going to the Weather Channel's website where they have a radar screen of the whole state and I know instantly if any rain or snow is on the way.
