Affirming gay and lesbian priests

The answer may not be to ban homosexuals

Either the Church bans homosexuals as priests, or parents will never again trust priests with their teenage sons. The Church must choose. I vote for returning to the day when parents could be happy that a priest expressed some interest in their teenage son. Today, they'd be afraid, very afraid, and rightfully so.

Gee I’m not a scientist and nor is she but I believe she was only distinguishing between homosexuals and so-called bisexuals but since bi-sexuals are homosexuals perhaps you shouldn’t be jumping up and down just yet. So-called bisexuals have the pathology of same-sex attraction, just because they participate normal man/woman relations doesn’t eliminate the pathology. But you knew that already.

Starting with a lie isn't a good way to begin. The Church has been considering banning (again) homosexuals from ordination, not because of a link with pedophilia, but because homosexuality is a mental disorder. Period.

There are several reasons, I believe, why this is being considered. First, homosexuality is a severe disorder - causing men to put each other's sexual organs in their mouths and rectums. Second, homosexual men living together in close quarters have a very, very difficult time remaining celibate (just like normal men living in close quarters with able and willing women). Third, most homosexuals (including homosexual priests) reject Catholic teaching about sexuality. Most parents would NOT want such men advising their children on Catholic teachings on sex. Fourth, homosexual men are highly promiscuous, on average. Fifth, active homosexual activity (such as occurs in the Catholic priesthood), spreads serious and often fatal disease. And sixth, a great many homosexual men are attracted to teenage boys, and cannot resist that temptation - making them a danger to teenage boys. The Catholic Church should have compassion for homosexuals, and minister to them in God's truth (which does not condone homosexual activity). But they should not be priests.

Their conclusions are BASED ON data. It’s the antigay brigade that ignores and distorts data.

Ummm…Data is data, if it’s wrong then it’s not data. To conclude that male child molestation by men is not homosexual i.e. the pathology of same-sex sexual attraction is INGNORING the data.

Bisexuals are homosexuals and trying to define the degree of your pathology serves no purpose. There are no part time pedophiles ONLY pedophiles, n’est ce pas? Just as there are no part time homosexuals, there are no part time pathologies.

BTW, I heard Freund was homosexual and committed suicide by a reliable source (no deep throat) and finding a link on the web isn’t always possible. Kinda like the APA not publishing pre-1973 research that concludes homosexuality is a paraphilia on the web, you know what I mean? So if you are contending Freund WAS NOT homosexual why don’t you say so, hmm?
