It's quite possible that Kerry's thoughtful manner and sincere message will be wrong for the moment but very presidential in the running. Ah - Just Kidding.
In all seriousness, I hope his message stays the same, and he makes it into the debates.

I think this guy is a test-run. Kerry isn't the actual candidate that the Democrappers want to field in 2004, they're just using him to test the waters. If voters like what he says, well they have a candidate! If not, he's just a fall guy and still popular in Taxxachusetts.

The Democrats tried to make the economy the cornerstone issue a few weeks ago. They failed miserably.
If the economy improves over the next two years, they will have literally no issues left.

I figured Kerry in the title was enough warning.

Sen. Kerry is a weak candidate in search of an issue to run on. Chas. Darwin is placing bets, and they're not on Kerry

I believe there are two other ways we can help hardworking families while boosting consumer demand: One -- raise the minimum wage and two -- expand the Earned Income Tax Credit that rewards low-income families for being on the payroll instead of the welfare rolls. Frankly, the Republican response on the minimum wage is an extraordinary story of modern economic America. Even as the American worker has increased productivity almost 75% in the last three decades, you would have to raise the minimum wage to $8.14 an hour just to restore the purchasing power it had 33 years ago - and all were trying to do is get it up to $6.55! Hardworking families deserve a raise. And fairness demands it. Barf!Barf!Barf!Barf!Barf!
This stuff makes me sick. "Hardworking" families? I work hard. I make a lot more than the minimum wage, too. But I work hard. Last weekend, I spent 12 hour days working on my own small business venture, all on my own dime, with no immediate prospects for revenue. It's in its infancy.
I was on my hands and knees, scrubbing the floor, cleaning and repairing equipment, going to the store to buy supplies, etc. I worked until it got too dark to do any more. My hands were raw from cold and from being banged around.
Am I complaining? Heck no! It is FUN! It is exciting! It is making a dream come true, sailing uncharted waters, betting on myself. Then on Monday I come back to my corporate job and work my butt off. No complaints. It's fair. It's worth it. The hard work is worth it. But the gall of these socialist creeps to define "hardworking" as low-skilled and low-paid. Hogwash.
I was a dishwasher. I was a line cook. I was a sales clerk. I had low paying jobs. My success came not from government making those jobs pay a so-called living wage. My success came from my own internal will to succeed, by my own ability to respond to the pressures and opportunities of the marketplace, and my willingness to take chances, invest in myself, and bet on myself. Time and again it has been a good bet.
Did my family have a lot of money? Heck no. We struggled. We never owned a home. I was sent to live with my Grandma more than once because they had economic problems. I didn't go to college. But I never, ever gave up and I never stopped loving this country or believing in the opportunities available to all. And I know there are countless people out there just like me.
Mr. Kerrey, your ideas make me sick. They are vile. Your rhetoric is poison. I pray to God you go down in humiliating defeat, and that you see the error in your ways.

I think there is clear evidence of a scientific breakthrough here. Surgeons and geneticists have created a rectum with the power of speech.

How can anyone reasonably suggest to our fellow Americans that the way to get the economy moving today is to cut taxes 8 years from now? OK, ketchup boy, let's accelerate those cuts and make 'em all effective today.
To: Huck
Can't add much more to your observations. Kerry is a genuine windbag.

I see an America where every working family has real opportunity for a better life¼an American where when it comes time for tax cuts, the middle class are first in line The opportunity to find a job that enables them to care for their family¼ to buy a house¼ to create a nest-egg¼ and enjoy a secure retirement.
============================================================
All this BS comes from someone who looks like a zombie, has no money problems, takes advantage of the tax breaks for the rich and can afford to spend $150.00 for a haircut.
He sure has a lot in common with me, I scrape togeather $9.00 for a haircut, get no advantage of tax breaks, worry about paying my bills and don't know how I'll be able to afford to retire.
Don't you just love it when people like him give you a line of BS and expect you to believe that they really care about your problems and worries.
I would sooner have a person with six childern, making just enough to get by and happy running for office. They would have very little problem telling the truth and have people relate to them and believe in them.
So much for my last rant of today, everyone have a great evening and I'll be back again tomorrow.
