Down through the ages people have citied the Bible as license for every action imaginable, you are no different, just don't fool yourself into thinking you are doing God's work.

I did not site the bible as a license for stock market investing. You cited the bible as forbidding it, yet you refuse to provide the appropriate passage. So, please cite the parts of the Bible which you think forbid stock market investing - if you can.

I wonder if the NGLTF would have any problem with Jerry Falwell Ministries promoting their org. in any NGLTF publications?

Funny, I thought that parents had the final say in their kids lives.

Did I say they don't?

I assume you don't own any investments or run a business?

Wrong, I simply don't choose to link my investment portfolio decisions with my religious beliefs. You pick the sins you can tolerate in your life and I will do likewise.

The organizations want to pressure the nation's largest retailer to enact homosexual domestic partner benefits and include sexual orientation in its nondiscrimination policy.

What about people who like to get sexual with animals (beastiality). I wonder if that should be included in a company's nondiscrimination policy too. This situation with special interest groups demanding this and demanding that is really getting out of hand!

What magazines are they talking about, exactly? When I think of porn, I think of Playboy or Hustler. While I think a lot of women's mags like Cosmo or Glamour are stupid, I don't consider them porn.

I go to Walmart all the time. I have never seen any girlie magazines there.

Um, just out of idle curiosity, what "sexually charged" magazines has Wal-Mart had, and who defines what that means?

"What about your kids? Stop being so selfish. It's not all about "

From your comment above it looks to me like you are saying that the poster is shelfish and not thinking about his kids.

Your solution to this (which prompted my comment) appears to be to agree with an orginization (CWA) that wants to have these magazines banned.

Perhaps the original poster though that his/her kids where mature enought to handle it. The posters could also have recognized that if he/she taught his/her kids correctly such magazines would not hurt them.

"persuade the retailer to enact special rights. "

That really is the issue, special rights for homosexuals.

Wrong, I simply don't choose to link my investment portfolio decisions with my religious beliefs.

Bizarre, so you think that "money manipulation" is a sin for those who think it is ok by the Bible, but it is ok for you to do because you don't reference your actions regarding "money manipulation" to biblical standards? Bizarre indeed. Oh yea, I am still waiting on you to cite the passages which suggest that sotck market investing is a sin.

You still have not answered they question. How is making a profit a sin?

How do you reconcile you beliefs (posted below) with your investments? So in your mind it is OK to say one thing in a public forum and do another? What do they call that again? I think it begins with an h.

"Do you really think that the manipulation of money for personal gain is any way related to and/or sanctioned by Christianity?"

So, please cite the parts of the Bible which you think forbid stock market investing...

Instead of starting a bible verse pissing contest, I will leave you with the parable of The Rich Man and Lazarus, which ended with... 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'

They have talked about porn in the past 2 weeks. They have talked about the Victoria Secret show that they consider porn. They also have ads on during their show that are antiporn in nature.

Just because it is not the main topic listed does not mean they didn't talk about it. After all, it is a 30 minute show.

It won't be a pissing contest. I have nothing to cite, as I did not claim that my beliefs were explicitly sanctioned by the bible. You, however, think that the bible characterizes stock market investing as a sin. Please explain. Your avoidance of the question leads me to believe that you are incapble of explaining.

Yes, there is a such thing as greed, and it is a sin. I do not see, however, that buying a share of stock is greed, anymore than it would have been greed for Joseph to sell off a portion of his carpentry business to buy some new equipment.

So in other words you have no idea. If you are going to use the Bible as a source you should be able to provide at least the book of the Bible where you got the information from.

This is a problem with a lot of people who call themselves Christian. They don't know what the Bible says. They just know what others tell them the Bible says.

Please note, I am a Christian and I am not talking about all Christians in this post.

Maybe he should cite TightSqueeze 1:34 - "Ye shall make unsupportable assertions, and then diffuse and dissemble in order to avoid having to back them up. When all is lost, pretend that you forgot the question that has been posed to you numerous times."

Are you a former DNC PR person? It sure looks like it the way you just ignore the questions that have been asked and spout off.
