The problem is the world has changed, and our involvement in these tiny little places is different than it was in 1941. It was a lot clearer then. We were attacked.Oh, man...
Let me guess, George, those guys who drove the planes into the WTC and the Pentagon on 9/11 were just taking flying lessons and got a little bit off-course, right?
Just keep sharing those penetrating foreign policy insights with us, George - there's still way too many people out there who think that just because you can spout lines that someone else has written, you're an expert on whatever you're talking about.

Why, I can stop holding mah breath, now that I know what's good and what isn't, what's art and what ain't, what's worthwhile and what isn't, what to think and whan not to! The box office and popularity polls as the fountains of eternal wisdom! We're in Utopia Marge!
No wonder we American are considered philistines!

To my mind, the new Bond ranks among the best in the series. You've got to love a movie series whose foundation is staked on anti-feminist, anti-liberal doctrine. Objectified women, the damsel in distress, the frigid villainess, the maniacal communist villain, excessively-outfitted fast cars (with no consideration of "emissions standards"), concealed weapons, unnecessary firepower, espionage, gunfights, destruction and mayhem - pretty much the pinnacle of culture.
This 20-part series is pretty much the embodiment of all that liberals stand against (OK, except for unrestrained sex - but who's counting?). One man, using all of his resources, fighting for freedom against third-world dictators, traitors, communists and social utopians.
Liberals can have their poetry readings and foreign films (and foreign films about poetry readings) - I'll take a Bond movie any day of the week.
Cordially,

I hope the anti-potter book burners don't come and nuke this thread.
I thought it was a good movie. Just bought the first one on DVD.

[why you want
Solaris not to make money]
It sounds like George Clooney is opposed to invading Iraq. I see, thanks.
I'm still interested to see the movie, having seen the original. What can I say.... ;-)

By the way, Michael Medved gave DIE ANOTHER DAY 3 and half stars(Out of 4).
What is so PC about this Bond film? It seems that some South Koreans are offended by the film. They don't like the plot of the film...They think that the depiction of the North Koreans is too unsympathetic(?). I don't know...Not all North Koreans were portrayed as war-mongers...(General Moon, unlike his son, did not want a war.) I guess those Korean critics wanted the film to portray North Koreans as nice guys who only want peace...
It is also reported that some South Korean folks find the end of the film offensive...Bond and the US agent, played by Halle Berry, end up in a deserted Buddhist temple. Having sex in the temple? Probably not PC...
Some South Korean college student group vowed to lead the boycott of DIE ANOTHER DAY...This group is 100% pro-North Korea. It is 100% anti-American. When the North Korean dictator, Kim Il-Sung, died, these college students held memorial ceremonies.
