Do you consider yourself a pagan or heathen? No. Do you consider me one?

Please show me a pagan or heathen nation in the history of the world which has enjoyed the liberties we have enjoyed in the USA. You know what? You can't. You're right. And you know what? I don't think I can point to any other Christian nation which has enjoyed all our liberties either. We are unique and supreme among all nations regardless of religion.

I thought you were agreeing with the senator's interpretation of Leviticus. Where does Senator Knotts quote Leviticus? You didn't get that from the article. You are making assumptions, among them that tattooing is 'normal' behavior.
To: ccmay
I assume this means you cannot cite any Biblical support for your view; you just have a feelingI can cite Biblical references to support my belief that tattooing is a manifestation of heathen and pagan behavior. I studied this subject in depth with others about 30 years ago.
There are posts on this thread have stated good positions on the subject.
No, my belief on this issue is not based on feelings.
People who get tattoos want to feel like they are a part of the world system and do not wish to be identified with Christianity, which overwhelminly rejects the diliberate disfiguration of the human body.
ICor. 6:19 "What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"
I Cor. 3:17 "If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy..."
I find no indication in the Old or New Testaments that the righteous got tattoos. The only marks received on the body of these saints were from beatings from persecution.
In the end times, the heathen and the pagans will willing accept the mark of the beast. The Christians will reject this mark and die because of rejecting it.

It's a state issue, but I wish SC the best of luck in repealing this lawPlease stay in Michigan with the other yankee pagans.

Do you consider me one? From what little I have read of your comments, and since you are asking me for an opinion based on two dimensional FR posts, I would have to say "Yes".
Proverbs 14:9 "Fools make a mock at sin,.."

I don't think I can point to any other Christian nation which has enjoyed all our liberties either. The society and culture of the USA has more closely conformed to Biblical standards than any other so called "Christian" nation. That is why we have more liberty. The closer a nation conforms to Christianity, the more liberty there will be for all.

The nice thing about the piercing craze is that there's one needle at a time, and easier disinfecting. Also, the hole grows closed or is of minor notice once the jewelry is removed. Not so with the mutilating tattoos--you have to endure surgery and other unhappy treatments and it's not all that effective. There are few blood vessels in earlobes, but you can hurt some nerves by peircing the tongue.
The worst tattoos (other than the ones on faces) are on the hands. Hard to conceal the hands, and hard to repair the damage.

I find no indication in the Old or New Testaments that the righteous got tattoos.I find no indication there that they did pushups, either. Does that make doing pushups a heathen activity? God help the Marine Corps...
To: Britton J Wingfield
Does that make doing pushups a heathen activity? LOL!! Nothing like a little humor once in a while.
To: ccmay
What a presposterous argument. If your tax dollars do not go to regulate the parlors, they will go to the cops you pay to shut them down, in vastly greater amounts. Try again. So I take it you have these figures somewhere so I can compare them?
To: vannrox
Look on the bright side, while you may not get a tattoo in your state, you can get an abortion.
To: Mamzelle
Nice reply. So, do you have pierced ears or not? If so, how long have you had those temporary holes?
To: error99
LOL. Since it's almost identical to a SAS rose, you would really have to be on the Board of Directors to be eligible for a view.
To: vannrox
He contested that tattooing is an art form and should be protected by the First Amendment. The First Ammendment was designed to protect political speech not art.
