Why do you single out Israel? How many posts will it take you to start flinging around charges of anti-Semitism. If you read the article you'd notice that Israel is the largest foreign benefactor. What do we get in return? 9/11. What a deal.

Our foreign aid to Israel is about 3 Billion. There are 6 million Israelis. That works out to $500 not 10,000.
it is roughly 3% of Israel's GNP.
for the record, I think you are doing Jeff Davis a dishonor by projecting your dislike of Jews onto him by using his name.

I agree. We are subsidizing the state socialist infrastructure.
However, I dosn't think that this is why some posters want the subsidy ended. Check out Jefferson C. Davis's position history.

Israel does do a number of things for the US, including Balancing the Arab world and acting as an outpost of Western Civ.
Of course some of us would preffer to sell out our allies in the hope that hte Islamists will not go after us.

I favor this Israel aid, but I think we should ask them to be more decent to their Christian minority and to be sure to grant the religious freedom to them, that Jews have here, if we Christians are to continue to be so liberal with funds and international support.
This includes the right to proselytize.

Why do you single out Israel? Our help to Europeans far exceeds that to Israel, and no once anyone expresses a problem with that. Why? I guess some conservatives here feel it's more important that we send our troops to defend socialists like Gerhard Schroeder.
Actually, I don't like foreign aid much, and I think many of the problems in the Middle East would be solved if Israel would just use its foreign aid money to build a wall around Israel.

You refuse to look at his positng history. Substantiation is quite obvious.
Israel evil, whites victims... and KKK/leftist revisionism of southern figures. We all know where this is going.

It's a bit disengenious to say that Israel has never defaulted on a loan when they've all been forgiven before they were due to be repaid.
The truth is that Israel has NEVER repaid a loan because the loans were all turned into grants.

The money given to Egypt is directly and proportionally tied to the money we give Israel. It was part of the package deal. Think of it as bribe money so that Egypt wouldn't attack Israel. No more. No less.
In other words, we can put that amount on Israel's tab also.

Just out of curiosity- how many of those "50M to 60M Americans" are in the Occupied territories? It seems the most radical settlers causing all the ruckus with the Palestinians are mostly Americans. And we have to pay for this? 84 billion dollars to Israel so "50M to 60M" immigrants could justify a calculated land theft for which we have to pay countries like Egypt not to attack Israel?
No thank you. I'd sooner those Americans stay home and we bill Israel for their maintenance. Your per capita is higher than ours thanks to all this free aid and that's not right. I want aid to Israel cut as much as I want my taces cut. Talk about a social program we could do without!

Your not confused about anything! Other that we give more like 20-30B in total. So these charlatans can stab us in the back.

And we have to pay for this? 84 billion dollars to Israel so 50M to 60M immigrants could justify a calculated land theft for which we have to pay countries like Egypt not to attack Israel? Most of the problems in Israel are the settlers fault? I guess all the bombings and shotings and attacks are being carried out by settlers dressed as palies...That makes sense.
What land theft are you talking about? Israel won that land from the arabs after they were attacked in 1967 and 1973. The arabs lost and they lost there land end of story. The Palies can built settlements on that land as well but they don't because they love playing the victim. Its all crap and you know it. To say that we pay Egypt billions of dollars so they won't attack Israel is laughable. I wish Egypt would attack Israel. The Jews would be building condos on the nile in two weeks. Keep dreaming or read up on your middle east history. You have been weighed in the balance and been found wanting.
BTW....
10 Billion?
A bargin!!
