When the Toon's came on the scene in '91-'92, I read Roger Morris' "Partners in Power"...he nailed'em. It's a great read and exposes the slime which began its fermentation in their early years. Obviously the "voters" didn't see beyond the bj's and smokey-mirrors. It warned of what was to come.
(then again, 38% of our fellow "citizens" have not read a book beyound 200 pages).
