In this case lets hope so!!!! Unfortunately, we full, well know that our 'hopes' will be dashed. Too bad, too, these scourges of the earth.

Well, of course the 2nd Carr suffers from 'brain damage.' Why not, it's as good an excuse as any, isn't it?
Oh, yeah, they have offspring. I believe that "Reggie" (cute, eh?) has 3 children from 2 different mothers. Super.

"Shot while trying to escape"How about, "Repeatedly anally raped by dogs, beaten to a bloody pulp with a golf club, emasculated with a rusty spoon, flayed, drawn and quartered, and head placed on a pike at the entrance to the city while trying to escape."
I know I'd not shed a tear.

Neither antisocial peronality disorder nor drug abuse has ever been accepted either as a defense, or as a mitigating factor in sentencing.
The possibility of a history of head injury might serve as a mitigaing factor with respect to the death penalty, if the examiner can tie it to a problem of impulsive control, e.g., but that's not a slamdunk by any means.
Neither condition qualifies as insanity, "diminished capacity," or any other defense against the charges.
This testimony, IOW, won't matter a hill of beans.

Are you aware that your hero Scott Peck has flamed out in explosions of rage and violence himself?
Once a hypocrite always a hypocrite.
Good writer, unethical psychiatrist and incompetent (even "evil") person, he was.

You know that refers to a shock of wheat, right?
Just checking.

Thomas Szasz makes the point again and again that psychiatrists have NO place whatsoever in the courtroom, and perilously little place in a free society. I agree wholeheartedly. The entire profession is bollocks.

If they didn't pursue this as a defense during trial, why are they allowed to introduce it during the penalty phase?

A neuropsychologist who examined Reginald Carr testified Friday that brain damage, psychological problems, I believe that a rabid dog has "brain damage, and psychological problems" and we solve them by putting the rabid dog down.
Is there any real difference between a rabid dog and the Carr brothers?

"..."Reggie's brain is geared for not only bad behavior, but terrible behavior,"..." Take it out and send it to me...
I'll hook it up to the Jeep's battery with some jumper cables and see if that fixes it.
If that doesn't fix it I'll feed it to the cat.

You know that refers to a shock of wheat, right? Yes, I know. I just find it somewhat ironic.

I think its clear--the Carrs ate too much ice cream as kids and got permanent brain freeze. Therefore they should live the rest of their lives at taxpayer expense watching cable tv. /sarcasm
