Darling, life would be less colourful if we saw eye to eye all the time. I respect your opinion, even if I don't share it.

And all these years I never realized Monty Pythons Flying Circus was actually a documentary..

Well, I'm an Irish-American that does not hate Thatcher. No doubt she was tribal in her behavior towards the Irish. But so are most Irish tribal in their behavior on Irish issues. It's human, so we should be able to understand it, even if we don't like it.

To return to the subject of an earlier thread, a restoration of the Stuart dynasty could be a way to reconcile the Irish. They are the legitimate kings of both Great Britain and Ireland. And restoring them would amount to a repudiation of 1688 and its aftermath.

Thanks for the info. It makes more sense to me now. But why is it that British politics is populated with the most girly-men? We've got our problems on this side of the pond but it seems that you Brits are even more "progressive" than we.

Ivan, your photo in #19 just hit me over the head with nostalgia. Those were the days and Maggie still has more balls than any current Tory ever dreamed of.

We need a George W. Bush in our Tory Party, and quick. Well, Ivan, what are you just standing around for, then?

"Dagoo Poofs."
"lesbians and ethnic chappies."
"Pinks in Belfast."
"Hardmen."
Angle, it's all too much for me, I'm afraid.
Used to be a mere *act* of perversion was adequate to sate those difficult to please individuals.
Now we Yanks alwats found such behavior a *bit* "queer."
The name (inadvertently, I presume) stuck with no more needing to be said on the subject.
Now look what they've gone & done.
...this has all the potential of becoming quite obscene, eh? {g}
