Just finished voting in Little Rock, Arkansas. The voting location for precincts 355C and 355D was having problems with the machine that records your ballots. I stood in a growing line for about 30 minutes until they got it fixed so I could turn in my ballot.

When I got to work, I was told by a coworker that his precinct in North Little Rock was having the same problem, and they just opened up the machine and are sticking the ballots inside, without feeding them through the reader that validates the ballots.

Just voted in Massachusetts -- Mitt Romney for Governor (of course), plus yes on ballot questions 1 (repeal of income tax) and 2 (English only in the public schools), and no on 3 (state financing of political campaigns).

Let's get it done, kiddos -- Vote Republican!

Voted in the People's Republic of Chapel Hill - straight pubbie. Line was short at 6:50 AM about 10 people and 5 minutes and the number was 49 on the voting machine. About an hour later my wife said there was a 35 minute wait.

I'm in PA. Straight Republican for me. I have a question for those who have voted. When I walked in, the older gentleman handed me the Republican leaflet and said, "here, you may want this", or something like that. How did he know I was a Republican? Is it because I showered? I didn't have holes in my clothes? How could he tell?

Maybe you looked intelligent? educated? normal? not angst-ridden? determined?

I voted early at a grocery store in a very hispanic neighborhood near my office....it left me feeling pretty insecure, as I felt like the only one whose ballot had R's checked off. The place was doing a LAND OFFICE business, and early voting there just happened to coincide with the 1st of the month, which is when people's "gubment checks" come in, and they were in line to cash those checks at the customer service window, then they would go over and vote. Pray hard.

I voted in Virginia - Warner and Katzen, no on both bonds. Unfortunately, southwest Virginia keeps sending Boucher to Congress and he does absolutely nothing for us except vote against tax decreases and for partial birth abortion.

One thing that I am confused about is that when I vote -- I am required to show my driver's license. Is this only in Virginia? I know that the reason that Hillary and Schumer gave for voting against the election reform bill was that showing ID would cause undue hardship on voters so obviously they do not have to show ID now.

Radio news just said Brevard County poll workers are expecting about 65% turnout. That may be pretty good since Brevard is a majority Republican county.

Voted this morning. Little to no wait out here in the sticks (about 30 miles north of Indianapolis). Only took about 2 minutes no amendments this time just a couple of questions about retaining judges.

Voted a straight Republican Ticket!!

Heard a new Jean Carnahan smear ad this morning on the radio. It said how her husband has only been dead for two years and mean Jim Talent is attacking her. Oh boo hoo. Jim Talent has no ideas on attacking the issues only on attacking poor Jean. ACK!! Desperation on her part?!?

Independence, KY (Library): Poll opened at 6AM. I arrived at 6:15. Nobody had voted yet...trouble with machines. About 6 people quit waiting. About 6:25 machines started working. One of the poll guys said he punched every button he could on the back of the machine (I'm sure that helped a lot); and then one poll lady said maybe it needed to warm up (as if the machine had tubes in it)...WOW -incompetance reigned supreme. Machine fix-it guy showed up at abt 6:30 when everything was going ok. What about those 6 people who left? What if some candidate looses by 6 votes or less? What's wrong with paper ballots that are counted at the end of the day or those machines with the levers you use to pull. I'm trained/schooled in physics and have worked in electronics for 30 some-odd yrs. I don't trust electronic machines....too prone to error and sabbatage...all you need is one slick hacker to change poll results....and poll watchers won't help either.

Missouri Here, Voted striaght Republican, called police, Carnahan people standing in front of door in Pleasant Valley, Mo. where I live. voted against raising cig tax, voted all the Judges out, voted against all the local tax increases. Voting seemed to be brisk.
Came to my Church on South side of KC, tore down a Carnahan poster on church lawn, I'm the pastor, told electioneers to stand on the driveway entrance, this is private property, don't want to loose our tax exempt status, you know

Why, thank you. I would have been really insulted if I were handed the democrat pamphlet! Very soon after my husband and I were married, we went together to vote. Mr. Snowy was in a suit, and when we started walking towards the building, one of those poll people who hand out at the entrance said, "Oh, boy! You can tell these two are Republicans!" That comment made me feel warm and fuzzy all day!
