Tribute To HEROES

.

While the dogtag is used to provide information on an individual serviceman,
I also believe that the chain which holds them represents a connection to all
servicemen, no matter where you served, how you served or when you served.

.

The Minuteman in 1776 has a connection to the soldier fighting in Afghanistan today.
That connection is every individual who has ever served in the United States Military.

Each of us represents a link in the chain that connects that Minuteman of
over 200 years ago to the soldier in Afghanistan today.

The great intangible of America's wars beyond logistics,
beyond strategy, beyond wonder weapons and Generals,
is the spiritual force of its fighting men and women -
and that is the force that the USO so serves.

Hello and salutations from Florida.

While we all enjoy the comaraderie here in the FReeper Canteen, our main goal is to support our true heroes like yourself and fellow troops out there!

God Bless you and all our service men and women, and keep you safe.

Beep! Beep! MoJo's Chatting With The Troops!!
Click On Graphics For Music!!

Dear Mark,
Thank you for writing us! What a wonderful treat!!
I'm really thrilled that your sister was able to receive a business card.
Also, I'm glad you consider this your home as well.
We at the Canteen really enjoy hearing that you love your home away from home.
God Bless you, Sir!! Thank you for serving America! May God protect you!!

Dear Carol,
What a thril that you wrote back to us!!
Indeed, you are a DIVA!! No argument there!! Woohoo!!
I'm so glad that you enjoyed the Halloween Party!
If it took you away for just a few minutes of fighting terrorists, it was
worth it for all of us at the Canteen. Wow! You remembered everyone!!
I wanted to leave you a photo of the Navy and a special song that I wanted
you to be able to share with your husband. Please thank him for his service
to America. Also, thank our Canteen Princess as well for her service to America.
It is an honor to write the Useless News Tidbits to amuse you!! Thank you!
God Bless you, Diva!! Stay Safe! May God protect you and your shipmates!!

Dear Benjamin,
Thank for writing us! It is a great priviledge to hear from you.
Also, what a treat that your father is a Freeper as well!! Woohoo, Dad!
The support that the Canteen and the Freeper Rallies give to the troops
are heartfelt and sincere. We are honored to serve you while you are serving to
protect America and the world from terrorism. We couldn't do this without your
sacrifice on our behalf. God Bless you, Sir!! May God protect you!!
(Um, sorry you will have to endure the second part after the Air Force Song)

Marty,Al, Joe and Scully
Pirates!!
What a hoot you guys are!! I'm so glad you enjoyed the
the Halloween Party! How hilarious that you gave your Chief his name
and I'm sure he was very happy with it, huh? LOL!
It is so awesome that you write us and I'm so glad that you like the
Useless News Tidbits. It should prove to all of you that some Navy
wives have WAY TOO MUCH TIME ON THEIR HANDS!! LOL!
Whenever I think of you guys out there on the ship, I always think of this
song for some reason. I guess it's because I love this song and it kicks
ass! Which always reminds me of you guys!! *SMOOCH* to all of you!
Thank you for writing us!! We love you all!! May God protect all of you and
your shipmates! Make it back home safely to America, Pirates!!

Dear Smitty,
Whenever I see your letters, I always want to cry.
I can't really say anything funny at this moment. No jokes. No humor.
Smitty, YOU COME HOME SAFELY TO US!!
I can't speak for the rest of the Canteen Girlz, but I'm honored
that you would take time out to write us. I love you just as much as
the Canteen Girlz do. The sacrifice you are making on behalf of all of us
is incredible. I know it isn't just you, but every single person that writes us
brings the war on terrorism a little closer.
A few weeks ago, I watched a group of Marines leaving home. It was so awful.
Yet, these brave Marines left with their heads held high and their goal within
their reach. I know it is the same for you. So? If you ever feel down, just know
just know that there are people praying for you and missing you terribly!
I hope you like this song. It will be a song that will remind me of you!!
My sailor hubby also wanted me to say "HELLO" to you. Thank you
for being a part of our lives! God Bless you and keep you safe, Smitty!
OOH RAH!!

Dear Jim,
Thank you for writing us, shipmate!! Wow!!
Your family will always be welcomed to join us here at the Canteen!
It's a joy that you found us. I hope you will stay awhile. We enjoy
having you write us, but we enjoy that you find us a stress releaser.
God Bless you for your service to America. Tell your family to come on in.
May God protect you!!

Dear Rick,
Thank you for writing us today! Thanks for taking time out of
your busy life of killing terrorists to come play with us.
We are glad that you love this little corner on the internet
known to all of us as the Canteen. I hope that you will seek us out
when you are bored, sad, happy, or just in the mood to watch
dysfunctional people make fools out of ourselves.
Although, there are many very respectable Canteeners.
I'm trying to get advice as how I can one day join their ranks when I grow up. LOL!
God Bless you, Sir!! May God keep you safe!

Thank you for writing us troops!! You make Monday's worth living through!
Also, thank you to all of our honorable Allies around the world.
Our prayers and thoughts are with each and every one of you!!
Thanks for enduring my endless need for babbling!!

REMEMBER, TOMORROW IS ELECTION DAY!! So?? If you check on FreeRepublic and you can't get on, just keep that in mind. Also, I will try to get the Useless News Tidbits up early tomorrow morning. I just hope the servers can handle all the people coming in here tomorrow (Free Republic). So? Be prepared everyone!! Also, if you expect to be visiting Drudge....he had almost 25 million hits the last election. Keep that in mind as well!

A late "Good evening" greeting to you all. It's just been one of those days (we all have them. aarrgh!) but I've put everything on hold for a few moments. I wanted to say "howdy" and to answer these wonderful e-mails.

Hello troops, veterans, and allies wherever you may be. Thank You! for answering the call to duty. I admire and respect you more than words can say. God bless you all!

I would dearly love to stay and play tonight but I'll have to get back to it here after I've answered the troops' e-mails. I did spot the transportation for today and holy cow! LOL! You Girlz be careful in that thing!! I don't know if there's anyone else here besides our starman who knows knows anything about one of those babies.

Thank you, Snow Bunny, for allowing us to meet some of the troops each week through their e-mails.

(((HUGS))) for everyone!

I love hearing how well the business cards for the Canteen that AntiJen and tomkow6 came up with are working! I'm happy your sister passed the word on to you.
I'm also glad you feel the Canteen is a "Touch of Home". Come in any time, kick off your shoes, and settle down in front of the fireplace with us.
I'm very proud of our service men and women for answering the call to duty. Thank you for your service. :-)

Hello, Fluffy Pickle Squirt! I'm glad you could make it to the Halloween party. Was that wild or what?!! I laughed so hard I had difficulty posting. The names we all ended up with were so hilarious. I love yours!
I hope your daughter is thrilled with her Radu kitty this Christmas. I sure do love all my critters even though I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the sheer numbers. Do you know how hard it is to type with all these kitties playing Musical Lap? LOL!!! One up, down it goes, next one up right behind it, and so on and on and on.
It's nice to hear from you again. Thank you for serving this great country of ours.

It's great to hear you told your Dad about FR and the USO Canteen. I hope he joins us here one day soon. It would be wonderful to have him as part of the family.
It's such a pleasure to get to meet some of our troops on Mondays through your e-mails, and to be able to show my support every day. Thank you for your service to our country.

Your e-mails always have me LOL but this one has me ROTFL!! Y'all are too wild....but then you're Pirates and I wouldn't expect any different. You guys remind me so much of some of my Navy buddies years ago when I lived by Camp LeJeune. The memories that come back of the fun and the parties..umm, better leave that alone! LOL!!!
I'm glad y'all had fun at the Halloween party. It was so much fun throwing it.
Thank you, guys, for serving our country.

It was such a blast throwing the Halloween party for the troops and I'm so glad you had fun! I swear I could hear you and all the others laughing clear through cyberspace.
It's wonderful to hear you think of the Canteen as your Home Away From Home. Come on in and "set a spell" every chance you get. We love the company.
Thank you for sharing the poem with us.
And thank you for your service to our fine country.

It's wonderful to hear you told your family about FR. I hope they don't remain 'lurkers' for long but join us here at the Canteen. We'd love to have them here with us. The more, the merrier!
Come hang out at the Canteen Cottage whenever you can. There's someone here 24/7 to keep you company. Grab a snack from the kitchen, sit by the fireplace....or you can come along with us on one of our rides if you dare! LOL!!!
Thank you for answering the call to duty to our country.

I'm glad you love this fabulous place Snow Bunny created for our service men and women. I love it, too, as it gives us a place, accessible to all our troops, to show you our support. I'm so proud of the men and women who have chosen to serve our country.
Thank you for making that choice.
