I hesitate to do this, but here goes...I saw the parents on the news yesterday and the dad was already talking about this boy in the past tense. Why?

The family has been invited to appear on CNN, Fox News, Good Morning America etc. but continue to get bumped for IRRELEVANT news!
Please help us get the word out.

Why isn't this in the main stream media? Does the amber alert exclude boys?

The dad was at work with his oldest son when it happened...these parents are in shock, it just happened out of no where. What bothers me is the lack of good Police work and there is a perp out there!
We do not have an Amber Alert in Guilford County, and without clues, no one will act.

Apparently this area does not have an Amber Alert plan. However, in order to meet the criteria for an Amber Alert, there generally must be confirmed evidence of an abduction and evidence to suggest that the child is in danger of serious physical harm or death.

Christopher Edward Dixon, 13, is 5 feet tall and weighs 90 pounds.
He's 13 and only 5 ft tall, and only 90 pounds? That seems tiny for a 13 yr old boy. When I was 13, I was probably 5'6 or so and weighed well over 150. I was chubby for 13, but well within average height.

Excerpt from post # 17 in a thread a couple of days ago; this struck me as strange at the time I first saw it, and it came to mind when I saw your comment, but who knows how they would react if confronted with such a horrible situation:
Mark Klaas told us that Chris' mom Holly should speak to the media about her son and she is reluctant to appear on the Fox News Channel, please pray for courage.

How many children have you seen come back alive from these incidents?

I have been in the home since Saturday, she is emotionally paralyzed.God bless you for being a true friend. I can't imagine the agony that family is going through. No Amber alerts? And it sounds like next to no leads. Dear God, how difficult.
