Gee, I wonder who the Star will endorse.

The current Eagle editorial board is not that bad at all. They are collectively just left of center I would say. But they are passionately committed to balance and fairness and it really does show. I like them anyway, and I've tested their patience extensively, lol. Still, I thought they would endorse Sebelius. This was a real bright spot in an otherwise bad week.

On the other hand, I can't stand the Kansas City Star.

Every time Randy Brown or Davis Merritt (even worse) write a letter I am reminded of how fortunate we are to have Phillip Brownlee in charge now. He's really a very decent guy.

I don't get the beagle anymore, since they decided we western Kansas hicks weren't worthy of a great metropolitan newspaper, but I remember Randy Brown. Now I get the Hays Daily News (which only comes 6 days a week), but the editor is a pure, clueless, young liberal working his way up the Knight-Ridder ladder.
