Wonder if enough of you alumni of UNC, surely many of whom are successful and influential, were to as a group, visit the decision makers at the school and make them aware of your (and we the rest of the tax-payers too) dissatisfaction with the direction in which they are drifting, it could make a difference? Surely they respect some discenting views-then again , maybe not.

I think the point is that Mohammed Atta and the like are actually being *true* to the koran ... when they kill Jews and Christians they are doing Allah's will ... American Johnny Taliban Walker Lindh said he went to Afghanistan because the Taliban of Afghanistan preached the purest form of Islam he could find ... well, we all saw the results of that, eh?
... as Dave Hunt says, when will peace-loving muslims that abhor violence (and I'm sure they are many) come to the realization that mohammed has led them down a false path? ... there's no shame in being initially deceived ... it's trying to spin-doctor it that is untenable ...

Call me a cynic but I believe the only thing they will notice is a lack of funds. Then they'll go crying to the legislature, which is another reason to get out and vote next month. :)

I believe you ... I've never heard one myself ... you have not expressed any outrage over 9/11 on this thread that I've seen ... I saw Egyptians, Palestinians, Iraqis on TV DANCING IN THE STREETS ON 9/11 ...
I saw no Jews dancing ... Ariel Sharon wears an American Flag pin on his lapel ... one wonders why you would bring the Torah into this discussion, for the discussion is about the koran being forced upon UNC students ... and now it's "voluntary"? ...
We do not support the koran ... sorry ... some do ... but many of us on this thread do not ... that is why I took the verses from the koran directly ... from an online koran at an American university ... again though, I do refuse to put "God" where they mean "Allah" ...
there are others who have asked good questions ... we don't hate you ... but we're not going to buy the baloney that the koran is a book of peace ... the verses and actions state otherwise ...

"Which is another reason to get out and vote next month."
As if we even needed another reason. I plan to vote early and often this year, oops, live Republicans are allowed only one vote. I plan to make that one count.

Hi F.J., well Howdy back atcha F.J.,frankly myself, I could take UNC's pretense of acadamic freedom seriously, if they included Salmon Rushbies, "Satanic Verses" in their discussion of Islam, and invited Salmon to speak at the University, and provide him security against the zealots who have not yet heard that the bounty on him has been cancelled, and security from those extremely extreme zealots who would just enjoy murdering him for free.

yes, how else does one explain Osama bin Laden, the blind sheik who organized the attack on the World Trade Center in 1993, Abu Nidal, Mohammed Atta + 18 others, Zacharias Moussasoui, Johnny Taliban Walker, Richard Reid Shoe Bomber from England, the Taliban itself, Abu Saayef ...
Mohammed Atta and company visited a strip club the night before the WTC attack and negotiated with a hooker ... yet he packed his death suit, with Koran in place ... beyond bizarre ...
some try to bring up McVeigh ... McVeigh was a fifth-columnist and there certainly was no New Testament, nor even Old Testament, when taken in entirety, that would justify his outrageous actions ...

I didn't say Israel was controlled by Orthodox Jews-that was exactly my point, if it were, that first assault by the Arabs, back in the fifties, when those bullies pounced upon tiny little Israel with the intent of easily squashing the life out of that fledling democratic state and had their butts kicked with ease, would have been the last battle between the Arabs and the Jews. I am saying that if Christians and Jews lived by the most violent teachings of their Holy books as the Islamites do, there would not be a worldwide threat of violence from the Muslim cult-they would not exist! We are not out to destroy them -we are merely resisting their idioitic asperations to destroy us.
Turks may be free as compared to most Muslim controlled nations, but as far as free, they are better compared to Mexico than the USA. I am unwilling to accept your word about the various freedoms enjoyed by the citizens of Turkey, opinions are often relative, depending upon what they are compared to-Turkey is heaven compared to it's neighbors. THe USA is heaven compared to our neighbors and distant states as well-everyone wants to come here and yet those of your ilk portray this wonderful land of freedom as a hell hole.
What would you define as the closest thing to a Christian state? THe majority of us do not believe that homosexuality is incurable, but we do not believe in abusing them. I cannot argue with your assertion that America is not perfect-it's not. I won't even argue that we are farrrrrr from a Christian nation-I ask you, what nation on earth is closer to being a Christian nation in your opinion.
I am ashamed that we as a Christian nation have allowed those who enjoy the forbidden thrills of homosexuality, and the liberal media and liberalism in general, that enables them, to force truth into the closets from which this perversion emerged. We have never given up on a challange, no matter how impossible it seems, and have found miraculous cures to seemingly incurable diseases and conditions, and yet are now intimidated into inertia in a search for a very attainable remedy for a perversion who's side effects are breaking the bank of world governments.
WE can't afford to pretend that Homosexuality is incurable.
Finding a cure for Homosexuality is the Christian thing to do, and the cost is nothing compared to looking for a cure to aids.
