I've been freeping a long time now, and I know the signs to look for that tell when a thread's going down the drain. And I see the signs.

So long, boys, I'm jumping thread!

When the Apollo-12 crew landed on the lunar surface, they saw that the landing was observed by a half-transparent, pyramidal object. It was hovering just several meters above the lunar surface and shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow against the black sky.

Wasn't that on the cover of Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of the Moon album?

Sounds like fun. I used to have a close friend and college roommate who worked for Lowell observatory in Flag part time. Great place to roam around late at night. I think the computer on my desk now must be many times more powerful than that IBM 360 I think it was.

Going to the moon again in a few years. . . should be interesting.

I wonder, what does one such as you with your perspective make of the verse in the Bible where God talks about bringing man back down even if he makes his nest among the stars.

Am also curious, assuming, humoring me perhaps excessively for a moment or 3--pretend you turn out wrong about ET's, the moon, Mars, UFO's. What do you expect your response to be were you to finally have to admit that to yourself?

I stopped reading right there. Richard Hoagland is a quack and a half.

I walked in on a Hoagland presentation at the University of Washinton around 8 years ago, and this lunar civilization thing was the main topic of discussion. It was a week before the comet - I forgot the name of it - was to smash into Jupiter, and Hoagland predicted (with almost 100% certainty) that the comet was to enter the Jovian atmosphere at some sacred geometrical angle and as a result was going to blow the planet to pieces. I laughed out loud, but everyone else in attendence was taking this ridiculous prognostication with deadly seriousness. Hoagland looked at me like I was the Devil Himself.

Well, as we all know, that comet broke into a dozen or so pieces and created huge (and well photographed) explosions, but Jupiter remained intact.

His case for the moon was similiarly looney, and all the stuctural evidence for civilization he attempted to show in the NASA photos completely escaped my notice (and I have a good eye). However, the ultra-impressionable crowd in attendance "saw" the evidence he presented no problem. The mass gullibility was overwhelming, and scary as hell.

GOD HAVE MERCY ON OUR SOULS, SANITY AND SOCIETIES.

Perhaps we could send her back encased in . . . Limberger?

Maybe as a not so subtle commentary on their original "gifting" of us with her err it.

In late July-Aug of 1970, I think it was, after the lander touched down te commander kept refering to "boogies". The moon trips were still broadcast live on radio/TV at that time. I heard it on car radio, and have never heard it mentioned again by anyone. It looks as if some of the "pro-aliens on the moon" boys have been VERY cooperative in ignoring this bit of history!

BTW, I GATHER you consider MHGinTN in post #34 to be . . . playing loose with the truth--or his date to have been playing loose with the truth?

Because it's inconvenient to your truth?

Because you don't know them personally?

Because the benefit of the doubt is too costly in this case?

Because they were probably lying for recreation or profit?

Because she told him that to get him in the sack?

Seems to me the most plausible thing is that they were both telling the truth.

Oh, we all know that, do we, Mister Government Agent? Great cover story, IMHO, but how do we know that's really Jupiter up there or some clever CIA coverup? Hmm? That the real Jupiter wasn't blown to smithereens by the comet and the phony one put up there under cover of darkness...I mean, under cover of lightness during the day when nobody's looking? Do you know of Dick Cheney's whereabouts every single minute during the comet strike?

I thought not.

I've seen reports of that before. And of reports of the delayed interplay between ground and mission control supposedly decrypted by amateurs to show more such. One code word once was Santa Claus.

I wonder, what is it about folk hereon who are like millions of folk everywhere--they laugh and deride and claim decades ago that only hillbillies and drunkards believed in such stuff. Why there were no credible witnesses and never would be to hear them talk.

Now, we have more than 400 VERY CREDIBLE witnesses, many with very high military ranks and some with video and other proofs with them--ready to put their lives and retirements on the line by testifying--and THEY are blackwashed with the same brush the hillbillies were.

I guess it's more a commentary on the observers who like Jehovah Witnesses who kept changing the dates of the return--people will believe what they prefer to believe regardless of the evidence.

Still, it boggles my mind to just wipe 400+ quality, well placed, experienced many high ranking witnesses away with a swipe of their dismissive white gloved hand.

He won't be back...he's one of THEM...

Hope you aren't offended - I heard Hoagland speak at what might have been that very same lecture at UDub, or one just like it. AliensOUT was being charitable.

I will tell you what I expect. Although I have seen zero evidence of structures on the moon or Mars, not to my satisfaction, if it is found I expect it will be ours. A civilization that existed before our present civilization of record. It could have been less than 10,000 years ago, or it could be really old, up to 25,000 years ago. If things turn out otherwise I shall be surprised and amused. Considering that all of civilization back to Ur could have been relayed by word of mouth by an unbroken string of 50 to 100 people, all of civilization as we know it is fairly new, and we don't know much beyond that.
