Dang it - my people had suppressed this since Armstrong knocked on the kitchen door in '69...

It was announced for the first time that man-made structures and objects have been discovered on the Moon. I actually believe this. We probably left some junk there when we visited in late 60's early 70's.

Hey wait a minute, I thought that the moon landings were all made up and staged on a Hollywood soundstage! (sarcasm off).
Actually, with a Celestron C8 structures that big would be viewable from earth with good seeing conditions. Since none have been seen by backyard astronomers then maybe Pravda is Russian for National Enquirer?
Hey Vic, when do we want to get a C8?

Paging Art Bell!

Specialist for lunar studies Richard Hoagland I stopped reading right there. Richard Hoagland is a quack and a half.

We should admit they are artificial, especially the domes and pyramids. Reasonable activity of an alien civilization showed up unexpectedly close to us. We were not ready for it psychologically, and some people hardly believe they are true even now. "So when Princess took the frog into the bedroom and kissed him, he turned into a handsome prince. And to this day ... her mother does not believe that story." -- Comedienne whose name I forget.

Here's what I was referring to on the other thread.

Hey anything that quotes Walter Cronkite's former gopher cum bag-boy Richard Hoagland has to be taken very seriesly.
"man-made..." or robot-made?
Daneel Olivaw lives!

This is probably Barbra Streisand, but if it were true, just imagine the plight of the poor Islamics.

Why? Don't they worship a moon god?

A picture's worth a thousand words.

Yes, and to think that place had people stomping all over would be greatly upsetting. Apparently many were greatly upset at hearing of the Tranquillity Base landing.

I wouldn't describe him as a god ...
