Assemblywoman Chris Giunchigliani demanded Monday that Sen. Joe Neal, D-North Las Vegas, and a deputy district attorney apologize for saying the drive to legalize marijuana in Nevada is financed by an investor with ties to the South American drug cartel. Why would a drug cartel be pro-legalization? Re-Legalization would destroy their smuggling business and risk premiums.
The people who benefit the most from criminalization are the Drug Warriors and Drug Dealers.
To: MrLeRoy
By thew way, the DA involved went on the record stating that he never made the comment about cartels. Problem is, somebody was taping his speeach at the Board of Health, and they caught him yet another lie.

Neal said Excellent Intelligence Review, a publication owned by Lyndon LaRouche, reported that billionaire investor George Soros has financed the Medical Marijuana Project, parent organization of Nevadans for Responsible Law Enforcement. LaRouche also said Soros was financing movements in South America that helped drug lords. LOL!! Its always some George Soros conspiracy to these guys.
And how exactly does legal pot help drug cartels - the same cartels who finance American politicians who promise to help keep drugs illegal?

Speaking of lies, how about the one that 3oz. (250 joints) is for "personal use"? The way some of the marijuana users on this board talk, that's a two year supply!
To: robertpaulsen
3 ounces = 250 joints? Only if you're really stingy with your weed. Its a red herring anyway. If the limit was 2 ounces, (or 1, or a half, or an eighth), the Drug Warriors would howl just as loud.

LOL!! Its always some George Soros conspiracy to these guys. What's even funnier is their source of "information", LaRouche, one of the nuttiest fruitcakes around. I want to see some of the WoD Warriors defend him.

LaRouche is such a hoot!! I remember his infomercials before the 1984 elections - my roomates and I were watching Falcon Crest and then this cheesy commercial comes on - it gets cheesier and weirder by the minute - and lasts 30 minutes! Within 5 minutes we were all laughing and by the end we were chanting LAROOSH LAROOSH! Cheesmeister! Good to see him back in the fight - I hope he re-runs those older campaign infomercials - hell, they werent relevent then so why change them?

This is a joke, right?
This article says that the Democratic candidate for Governor believes Lyndon LaRouche's claims.
LaRouche's fixation on Soros leads me to a rather disturbing conclusion about at least one of our site WODdies.
I never could figure out why Soros loomed so large in his paranoid world-view.
Now, I understand.

I still remember, in 1985, when one of his telephone fund-raising flunkies got me up out of bed early on a Sunday morning, trying to get money from me to use to help overthrow the govt of South Korea. (I don't remember which conspiracy theory this rested on, they are all so wacky.) Despite the early hour I tried to be polite but he just got nasty. That's the only person I've ever cursed out over the phone.

I think I know who you're referring to. I eagerly await his defense...it should be truly entertaining.

I'd guesstimate that some of my avid pot-smoking friends go through 1/4 ounce in a week. That's a pretty standard bag, btw.
To: Britton J Wingfield
I was referring to the users on this board who were talking about smoking maybe 2-3 joints on the weekend.
Even using the conservative figure of .014 oz./joint, your friends are smoking about 2 joints every day. Avid indeed.
To: headsonpikes
LaRouche's fixation on Soros leads me to a rather disturbing conclusion about at least one of our site WODdies. So you're saying that ****n ****y is actually Lyndon LaRouche? Suddenly it all makes sense.
To: robertpaulsen
"The way some of the marijuana users on this board talk, that's a two year supply!"You must have lots of friends who smoke marijuana to be so knowledgeable robert. Are you sure you don't smoke it yourself?
