I don't know if Michael broadcasts on CNN cable but I have heard him refer to appearing on CNN from time to time.

Tinfoil= anything that is not politically correct or ideologically correct

Or that suggests that any Republicans, particularly those of the Bush Dynasty, may be just as corrupt and motivated by mercenary considerations as their Democratic partners.

Bump for Patrick Briley, heir to Patrick Henry

There was a time when such men were respected, now they are banned.

Just as there were Tories and traitors then, so are those who would ban Patrick Briley thereby the heirs to Benedict Arnold.

The Middle Eastern connection to Oklahoma City

Alhussaini then refiled his libel suit in federal court. Once again attorneys for KFOR and Davis filed for a dismissal. On Nov. 17, 1999, U.S. District Judge Tim Leonard granted their motion. In his ruling, Leonard stated that all the facts in Davis' report were either true or statements of opinion, and did not libel the plaintiff. Alhussaini then appealed the ruling. A hearing was held on Sept. 10; a decision is pending.

Alhussaini moved from Oklahoma City and was reportedly living in the Boston area. His lawyer declined to give me a phone number for his client.

According to 1997 medical records produced during his federal suit, Alhussaini said he had worked for a while at Boston's Logan Airport (where two of the planes were hijacked on Sept. 11). Quoting from those records, Alhussaini first told his psychiatrist that he had quit his airport job because, "If anything happens there, I will be a suspect." However, he later told his doctor that he "wanted to look for another job because he feels unsafe in the environment he works in, the airport, given the recent events involving his being previously suspected of involvement in the Oklahoma bombing."

Alhussaini's specific job at the airport was never identified. I contacted the Massachusetts Port Authority, which oversees Logan, to obtain dates of employment. A spokesperson said the agency would not release any information

News paper article on PRIOR WARNING on March 22,1995

The New Jersey Star-Ledger Date: 1995/03/22 Wednesday Page: Section: NEWS Edition:

LAWMEN GET WARNING OF PLOT ON U.S. TARGETS

ROBERT RUDOLPH

U.S. law enforcement authorities have obtained information that Islamic terrorists may be planning suicide attacks against federal courthouses and government installations in the United States.

The attacks, it is feared, would be designed to attract worldwide press attention through the murder of innocent victims.

The Star-Ledger has learned that U.S. law enforcement officials have received a warning that a ''fatwa,'' a religious ruling similar to the death sentence targeting author Salman Rushdie, has been issued against federal authorities as a result of an incident during the trial last year of four persons in the bombing on the World Trade Center in New York.

The disclosure was made in a confidential memorandum issued by the U.S. Marshals Service in Washington calling for stepped-up security at federal facilities throughout the nation.

The ''fatwa'' was allegedly sanctioned by an unidentified Islamic Iman, or holy man, in retaliation for what was perceived as a religious ''insult'' against Islamic fundamentalists by federal law enforcement officers. According to the memo, the information about the threat was obtained from an unidentified ''informed source'' who said the death sentence was specifically directed against U.S. Marshals Service personnel.

The informant reported that the threat was issued because deputy U.S. Marshals allegedly ''insulted'' Islam ''by stepping on a copy of the Koran,'' the Islamic holy book, during a scuffle with several prisoners convicted in the World Trade Center bombing.

The Marshals Service memo said the agency believes that ''there is sufficient threat potential to request that a heightened level of security awareness and caution be implemented at all Marshals Service-protected facilities nationwide.''

Government sources say authorities in New Jersey are taking the danger seriously and have increased security at key federal facilities in the state, including all federal courthouses.

The memo, issued by Eduardo Gonzalez, director of the U.S. Marshals Service, warns that attacks may be designed to ''target as many victims as possible and draw as much media coverage as possible'' to the fundamentalist cause.

...that he received complaints from people, including Jayna Davis, that material was inaccurate..

The position that cannot tolerate opposition is the weakest position of all. It seeks to obtain validity by ignoring the need for self defense and denying the existence of challenges to its security.

If it comes to the point that erroneous information is considered too powerful to refute and cannot be tolerated then, by virtue of censorship, ALL information becomes erroneous by default. In an atmosphere of censorship everything must be suspect as probable propaganda

And considering that Clinton seems completely unconcerned about even the possibility of Bush letting the cat out of the bag leads one to wonder, as the Freeper Lancey Howard suggested above, what sort of dirt on Dubya the former scumbag-in-thief has in his own possession.

Make that both Clintons, and I don't necessarily think the dirt is on Dubya. Remember that President Bush #41 has made statements VERY often in public about how our intelligence organizations have to associate with "bad people" and sometimes do "bad things" in order to keep the country safe. (Current events make that look a lot more reasonable than it might have in the past.) Now remember that during the #41 administration Governor Clinton was involved in an operation to help the Contras in their fight against South American Communists.

Pretty unusual for a lefty rat, but it turns out there was money in it for him. The report on the CIA that came out at the beginning of #42's impeachment trial made it clear that certain Contra officials had been raising money by selling dope during the '80s. The report also mentions that during #41 the CIA was given dispensation to turn a blind eye to things like allies' selling dope if the success of such allies was critical to national security...

Bottom line IMO is that weapons were moving south out of Mena, Arkansas and the planes were coming back with a payload. I believe Clinton personally profited from that trade. I also believe that #41 believed that this had to be ignored in order to defeat Communism. Whether this is right/wrong or good/bad can be argued, but it's certainly different from the Scumbag.

I absolutely think that the report on the CIA was released to tell the Republicans that if they actually convicted #42, that he'd spill all the information, and that #41 and other Republicans would pay a price for KNOWING ABOUT the trade (even though the Clintons were PROFITING FROM same).

I think this is still the hang up on President Bush #43's ability/willingness to expose the Clinton mafia's many crimes including treason. I think he should and I wish he would, but this is a guy who values loyalty above most things and I doubt he's going to expose his own father to this much trouble.

What the idiot will not ask, however, is why the information was "overlooked" or refused in the first place.

My guess would be that the Iraqi connection was overlooked because Clinton was so intent on pinning the OKC bombing on the right-wingers.

Thanks for the insight, Sal. I was completely unaware of the Clinton-Contra-drugs-#41 connection. However, it seems to me that the American public would be understanding if they were to find out #41's turning of the blind eye in this case. It's quite possible that the majority of us would view it kind of like we viewed Ollie North's shenanigans --- misguided patriotism. All in all, it was a fairly minor misdeed when compared to Clinton's selling nuclear secrets to the Chinese for campaign funds, or his covering up the Iraqi-OKC connection for political reasons. If all the dirt from both sides was exposed, the Dems would come out much the worse for wear, and country would be much better off.

Good.Maybe those emails did some good.

A new information ping (above) and a request to discuss the president's speech tonight in light of our discussion on this thread.

I'm still not so sure about the strength of this argument.

The libs on many occasions tried to pin the whole CIA-drug trafficking thing on 41 before, during and after the trial of Manuel Noriega, and it didn't raise a peep.

The big difference here, as I see it, is 9/11. If, in some unlikely world, Clinton were to be convicted of the crimes mentioned in this thread, nothing (that we know about) could compare.

But then there's a lot we don't know.

And we're only as sick as our secrets.

GWB has probably heard that one before.
