Let's see...by this time in the i42 administration there were roughly 22 scandles, four special prosecutors, many resignations, dead bodies and their buddy's in jail. Then came i42's next term and there were 16 more scandles, more of his sycophants in jail, additional dead bodies and a blue stained dress.
And the press said W. lacked gravitas. I LOL as I type this.

"There are two possible explanations. Either he [the liberal] has overestimated the extent to which his worldview is shared by the public, or he has underestimated George Bush"
The secret realization that the first of these propositions is true (overestimation of the extent that their worldview is shared by the public) is the real reason why the political left is so pathologically anti-American. America is, at its heart, an ideology. It is a set of beliefs about society, government, and man's relationship to them both. This ideology is despised by the left, who cling to a collectivist set of ideas that are at odds with the ideology of America.
The liberals know themselves to be ideological strangers, adrift in a nation that still reveres ideals that are anathema to the left. This is why they go to Baghdad and badmouth our president. This is why they burn american flags at their rallies. This is why they write articles about how terrible its been for them to live in post 9/11 America...with all of the flag waving and hymn singing going on here. This is why they fly off to Europe and tell the socialist sheep there how much better Europe is than America.
I alternate between anger and pity when I contemplate their situation.

Attention all conservatives. Your job is to frustrate one liberal a day.
GW Bush is batting 1000. :)

His strategy has been so brilliant, I'm not even sure I know how he's done it.

I remember thinking at that point in the debate "That looks like a man who needs to get his butt kicked." Then I looked at George Bush and thought "And that looks like the kind of man who could do it." But he didn't. At least not physically.

This made my morning! Thank you a thousand times.

I think the most rediculous thing Gore said or done during the debates is when he said ; "Our family has always supported Unions, Matter of fact, As a baby, My mother would to sing me to sleep using the Union Label Song"The fact is....... The "Union Label Song" was released when Albert Gore was 23 years old :-)
Well, I for one would be inclined to believe that Mrs. Gore was singing Little Al to sleep while he was in college...
But how does he explain the fact that Erich Segal didn't write about it?
"The Label means never having to say you're sorry."

What kind of a populist are you if the people aren't with you?
What kind of an intellectual are you if you aren't smarter than Bush? These lines made me laugh so hard I had to repeat them.
Rhetorical questions, of course.

"they would put in satan himself, just so he was a democrat."
That could prove a bit of a problem. Satan has already served two terms.

Our W doesn't take the bait. He is SO patient - it drives me crazy sometimes. But it serves him (and our country) very, very well. You may have nailed it yourself here--maybe it's his patience that drives me nuts--I always want him to slap Daschle down in a very public manner--but GW seems to be able to tune out criticism, go about his business, and then re-emerge well above the fray to capture the moment. I was going nuts in August when the Democrats and the media were picking him apart--today the UN weapons inspector agrees with W that we need a new and tougher resolution--go figure...LOL!!! (Maybe I have been underestimating him too...he keeps announcing that he is a patient man--time I started to believe him)
