first Babs falls for an urban legend quote and now newsmax reports urban legends as truth.
I'm not Fonda Jane, however, the myth of the slips of paper have been dispelled.

Well known for some time. Horrible. She should've faced criminal charges for her traitorous conduct. If I had been one of those soldiers, you can imagine what I'd have done to her when I got back to the states.

Fonda is a large contributor to the Democratic campaigns for Congress. I haven't heard of a single Democratic candidate having the decency to return her cash with a note saying "we don't take tainted money". I'm sure she'll be involved in funding the New Jersey senate race; the smell will attract her like a buzzard to carrion.

A few days after she turned on the American heroes, Fonda actually sought a meeting with McCain, then the ranking officer at the Hanoi Hilton prison camp. He refused, reports Alexander. Well, at least McCain did something right ... something I can respect.

McDermott & Bonior have decided to vacation in this country. A reporter asked them if they were concerned with the view that some people have of them aiding & abetting America's enemies. Bonior quickly retorted that both he and McDermott served in the armed services, apparently during the Vietnam era and that anyone questioning their allegiance should be questioned as to their service.
What nonsense! Talk about apples and oranges! Nevermind that we are talking about about two distinctly different situations separated by some 30-odd years. It's a complete non sequitur.
Kids, this is what happens when you don't act responsibly and take care of things right away. Syphilis, left untreated, left to advance to the tertiary stage, will turn your mind into swiss cheese, with great, gaping holes in it.

Sorry folks, this is an old story and is an urban legend. It was covered extensively here about a year ago.

Correction, I should have read further.
snopes.com discounts this story but they do confirm many of the other Fonda Viet Nam stories.
The most serious accusations in the piece quoted above -- that Fonda turned over slips of paper furtively given her by American POWS to the North Vietnamese and that several POWs were beaten to death as a result -- are proveably untrue. Those named in the inflammatory e-mail categorically deny the events they supposedly were part of.
