I just caught this line near the end of the article:
He speaks with pride about his great-great-grandfather, Harley Jenrette, who fought for the Confederacy from South Carolina. "You don't stop loving your family or your culture."
Any relation to SC's own FReeper Van Jenrette?

I was referring to this:
In one poem, he says of the Confederate flag, "When we fly it, it's about pride. We are still going to feel this way in a thousand years, it's who we are."But whether he's talking of the Battle Flag or the Stars & Bars, he's still a liberal.
Sorta reminds me of a sober Ernest Hollings.
