That sounds like a plan. Where do you live? They may need a target and you sound like a good one.

now. the news folk have no idea what comprises "weapons-grade"
uranium; and turkish police are no doubt wont to maximize their
achievements. but if this is u-235, say 90 percent enriched, then
there are two observations to be made: there's enough there for two
kiloton-yield gadgets (and substantially greater yield if the thing
is well designed); and i wonder what kind of safe-geometry container
they had it in to keep it from going critical (which suggests that it
was nowhere near 90 percent enriched and therefore the story is blown all out of proportion).

This is worthy, in my opinion, of being in the "BREAKING NEWS" column! Our Democrat controlled Senate is blocking a resolution on Iraq, our leftist press is ignoring the dangers of WMD, and our citizenry is starting to doubt the motives of our Commander In Chief, albeit most still trust him! Please, consider this a BREAKING NEWS....it should be discussed at length by the FR community! thanks.

Casing, material, what's the difference? Alot, the casing could be used for lots of things. Since the printing is in English, that particular lot of containers was probably headed for some English speaking country. It might even have been bought there by whoever put the stuff into the container.

Daschle isn't worried about losing anything save his position as Majority Leader in the U. S. Senate. Well if one goes off in DC while he's in the Capital Building, he will lose his position, and his Clymer too.

there's enough there for two kiloton-yield gadgets (and substantially greater yield if the thing is well designed); Not according to the federation of american scientists' site. It would be enough Plutonium-239 for 3 bombs if a "thick tamper" is used. But only enough U-235 for 1 similar bomb. There is some room for error in those numbers, as the site indicates some scientist think that a really well designed bomb might be made with only 1 Kg of Pu-239.

Alot, the casing could be used for lots of thingsLet me explain.........The casing that you see is a polymer coating that has a certain thickness and hardness. It is very durable and it surrounds a container. The label is the embossed on the coating. This coating cannot be removed without destroying it. It was put on at the mfgr. site.
