However it is actually a comment made concerning the stalled Home Security plan in the Senate.

That's right, and Rush is spending a lot of time on this subject this morning...(I don't usually listen to Rush, unless my computer is down...it was, but now is back.)

"Tell me Clinton didn't write this script"
Didn't Rush say that Rob Rynor(sp?) wrote this? The meathead.

Of course Little Tommy wants us Republicans to just sit quietly while they call us Nazis and right wing fascists. We need to call these traitors exactly what they are. They will do anything to stay in power. Looks like the senate races aren't going well for the little jerk.

As if this will help their case...

I think the GOP picks up three or four - possibly more.

It's hard to believe that Daschle thought his performance was going to help him and Democrats.

That's all he could find on the war on Iraq, not terrorism but the GOP politicizing things. Why doesn't Dashle tells what he thinks to the world and calls Bush a terrorist? Dashle's a coward who wants others to stand in for him. His little petty ape inquisition is irrelevant, even Saddam is less of an ape.

Cheney and the American people have the right to remain silent and no to take account Dashle's irrelevant puny threats, except for what they are, threats. Nice blow job Dashle, and I hope you can swallow hard your helplessness.

Let's examine the comment that Li'l Tommy was objecting to:

Speaking on the issue of homeland security before a fund-raiser for Republican Senate candidate Doug Forrester, the president said, "The House responded, but the Senate is more interested in special interests in Washington and not interested in the security of the American people. I will not accept a Department of Homeland Security that does not allow this president and future presidents to better keep the American people secure."

As you note, the President was not referring to the Senate vote on Iraq, but the vote on the Department of Homeland Security. Moreover, the President didn't accuse Democrats! Instead, his dart was launched at the institution, the Senate -- it was a "bi-partisan scolding".

Thus, it was Li'l Tommy that turned this into a partisan issue. As to which, I say to Li'l Tommy: if the shoe fits, then wear the SOB.

Daschle is getting close to traitor status.

What he said was simply unacceptable, hidding his ignorance, incompetence and evil behind labels on others. He wants to take credit for his proselystism, on top of it all, when all good men know that it is the convert that should be compensated, not the convertor. Cheney promises to those voting to the GOP, Dashle only claims credit for himself. He is an utter political failure.

His rant is playing right into Republican goals for this election. Clearly the overall effort by Republican candidates is to emphasize foreign policy and not to debate "who is to blame for the recession" (a debate Repubs are sure to lose amongst the general population because of the Dem-complicit media).

Daschle tried to "re-focus" America on the economy with his "all-problems, no-solutions" speech of a few weeks ago; but the Iraq conversation will not die, so he's had to resort to this "re-spin" of the issue.

Daschel has picked the wrong thing to fight Bush on The Public has overwhelming faith and support in Bush regarding his war on terror. The insular democrats spend to much time listening to their special interests and not enough listening to the actual people. He picked the wrong fight on the wrong issue.

Especcially when you consider Bush's clear dedication to going after Iraq. It is abundantly clear (as it should have been long ago in my opinion) that we ARE going to war with Iraq...the rest is just posturing. Bush is going to lead us there and on to victory. Nothing is going to stop that and Daschel needs to wake up and smell the roses. Its one thing to stand in the way of judicial nominee. This war however Bush will not cave on he will use all of his political capital to make it happen and since it is clear that the majority of Americans want it Daschel is going to get rolled. Even his own party is jumping ship on this one. Just look at Lieberman, Miller and others...Daschel has stepped in it..it will be interesting watching him try to act like it doesnt smell.

Let me get this right: The President speaks the truth on the subject and Daschle gets upset about it (and his acting job was terrible).

This is an outrage!! NOT!

Not only were they taken out of context, but they were misquoted. Essentially, Daschle claimed that Dubya said something that wasn't said.

Tom Dasshole -- The future minority leader of the US Senate.

That depends how bad the RATS get beat this year. Making Dasshole Minority Leader would be like making Lot Majority Leader again.

"They will do anything to stay in power."

They will do anything. They're absolutely beside themselves that their pet socialist "issues" aren't being endlessly repeated via the airwaves. Bad news for The Party, you know.

They're opportunistic pigs. They care nothing about the country; they care only for themselves.
