More and more information is coming to light. I'm glad we have an administration that is allowing these reports to become public, instead of hiding them or trying to place blame. The more we know, the better.
But it will be interesting to see, as other journalists comment on this story, whether the New York Times is really sharing everything it knows.

As I heard the woman on Fox explain, "if all of the information out there prior to 9-11 were pulled together, nothing could have been done as it was not specific enough." This piece in the NYT is just more rhetoric and a waste of time as was the millions spent on the investigation. In the end, the same conclusion will be reached.

And who was the President then ?

Amazing. Not one mention of the Clinton administration. Oh wait...it's the New York Times so, of course, they wouldn't mention that little tidbit.

Bush know and when did he know it ? " quoting
a NY rag , quoting a Newsweek rag........
..see how it works ? old news now huh,can we
just get busy working for the people who elected....
To: paulklenk
'98, you say? Uhhh...who was in charge then? Why didn't they pass the intel along to the current administration? Oh, that's right, they were too busy taking the W's off of the keyboards!

You're welcome.
Keep it bumped.
To: paulklenk
Thanks for the flag - more info is coming out!

You're right, the name Clinton isn't anywhere near this story. Oh, but plenty of talk about the C.I.A. and the F.B.I.
To: paulklenk
I think I saw another thread which listed ABC or something like that as its source and again, no mention of the clinton administration. The press is so frickin' obvious. It may not be State owned but it sure is DNC owned.

Is anybody watching the replay of this on C-SPAN 2 right now?
To: paulklenk
Sure! Here's a bump!
To: Alamo-Girl
Paul Wolfowitz is supposed to testify later this morning.
For some reason they are carrying it live on C-SPAN 3, which I don't have.
To: glorygirl
Thanks for mentioning it; I found it.

Thanks for the heads up!

No problem. It has actually been quite interesting. During her comments at the beginning she described her conflict with the administration over what should remain classified and what shouldn't --including whether and when President Clinton/Bush were made aware of all this stuff. They are being quite open. The White House, she says, may change its mind about that within 48 hours. Alamo-Girl, too bad we don't hear this much on other topics, if you know what I mean.
To: glorygirl
To be a little more clear: by Friday, the White House may decide whether to release information about if and when Presidents Clinton/Bush were made aware of all this information.
If it doesn't the committee may try to force the declassification of that information -- possibly through a vote by the full congress. It should be very interesting.
