The Jubal Early chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy dedicated Confederate memorial markers to Creed Holland and two other black Confederate soldiers, also named Holland, from Franklin County.Kudos to the UDC and the Hollands. A well deserved recognition for their service. And our thanks.

I would love to see these kinds of things become more publicized and more frequent. The public, particularly blacks, who are being duped by the lies of the blaxk, racist left need to see that that is only a part of the story, and likely a much smaller part than they and their ilk would have us believe.

This is why I don't get upset at seeing the Confederate flag. It doesn't hold value to me as it does many others here, but the truth behind all of it doesn't justify any rage against it. If any rage is justified behind it, it should be directed towards those who purposefully refuse to tell the whole story. If all people understood, those who get mad at it today wouldn't give it a second thought.

Confederate government required slaveowners to offer a certain percentage of their slaves to the war effort, possibly explaining the three Holland men's involvement in the war. Yes, I think that would be a fair inference.

"If any rage is justified behind it, it should be directed towards those who purposefully refuse to tell the whole story." I agree wholeheartedly. Again, education is key, and the socialists don't want people, and especially children, educated in facts. Confuses the agenda. That is why it's so important to speak out in truth against their lies. It is amazing to me how many ordinary citizens are already brainwashed. Of course, being brainwashed in ignorance seems to make as much sense as taking a bath in dirty water.
Thanks for your input.
