Remember, Ramsey Clark was made attorney general, not on his merits (which are extremely weak), but as part of one of the more stunning political deals ever.
Lyndon Johnson got Ramsey's father Tom Clark to step down from the US Supreme Court solely in return for an EXPLICIT promise to make Tom's intellectually challenged son Ramsey the Attorney General of the US.
Johnson wanted to appoint an African-American to the Court and picked Thurgood Marshall.

The claim that Iraq is a threat is a complete fraud. I don't think they believe it for a minute," Clark said, referring to the Bush administration's stated grounds for seeking to topple Iraqi President Saddam Hussein. No matter Clark's history, I agree with him on this statement.
Congratulations! You are the winner of the Sheila Jackson-Lee Award for the day's dumbest remark.
Your prize is a photo of human footprints taken on Mars.

Well, if Iraq buzzed near our airspace, we would fire at them too.
Also, if he ever did build a nuke, we would know, because of the emmisions released.
I suggest you let those who know what the threats are make the case
I suggest the case they are making is B.S.

The only reason he is even quoted is because of his caretaker stint as attorney general more than 33 years ago. His 15 minutes ran out decades ago but he is so addicted to the limelight, he will say whatever gets him quoted in the papers.

It's Ramsey Clark. It's slightly less important than telling me my shoe was kidnapped by aliens. Ahem... I suspect not.
If your shoe WAS kidnapped by aliens, wouldn't you want someone to tell you?
But if Ramsey Clark gave a speach, wouldn't you rather NOT be told?
On the other hand, I admit his picture was worth a laugh... So maybe I'm wrong.

Attorney General Ramsey Clark I identified that name just from reading the title. Do I get a prize?

He is a "useful idiot" to use the words of one the posters here. In other words instead of addressing the case for attacking Iraq, they find the most ridiculous person with opposing views and shred that person's character.

I find it irritating how people on this board begin bashing and throwing around personal insults towards anyone who has a differing viewpoint. Amen! What ever you do, DON'T offer an opinion on Ann Coulter that is 2 degrees off center or you'll be flamed for hours!

I would have thought Mr. Clark would be busy helping his attractive sidekick Lynne Stewart prepare for trial instead of representing the interests of terrorist countries.

That image says it all. Which one is Saddam?
Why would anyone, anywhere in the world give a FF what Saddam says? Or, more to the point, what Ramsey Clark says?

Hey Sherlock, In case you have forgotten, Saddam was defeated and he agreed to the provisions that would allow him to remain in power. He has consistantly violated every agreement he signed on to and that is enough to remove him alone. I just don't understand you libertarian bed wetters

We should just kill Saddam now, and if we find out it wasn't necessary, we can apologize to him later... how's that? :0)
To: kattracks
Why is it not a problem for Clark that Iraq
make WMD and tried to kill a US President,
and backed terrorism from 911 to West Nile?
Whose side is Clark on anyway?
To: kattracks
Saddam and Osama could release a video showing them locked arm-in-arm dancing a jig in glee as the WTC collapsed and this crowd would deny Iraq is a threat.
To: PogySailor
It's because Saddam and Osama weren't mentioned in the Constitution and therefore they're not a threat

No matter Clark's history, I agree with him on this statement.
Based on what? Like Clark, you don't even attempt to substantiate your position. All the evidence available favors Bush's point of view and not Clark's or yours. That's why the People are behind him. Do you really think Bush is leading us into this war? Wrong, he's trying to keep up with 250,000,000 others of us. Protest and wring your hands all you want, it's your self-loathing right.
To: Torie
"Is Clark still alive?"
Only below his eyebrows.
To: kattracks
I knew this was going to be about Ramsey Clark before I even started reading the article.
