I may just want to give this one a look, if she has given up flinging bile and calling it poetry. (another SNL goodie revisited, 'don't puke on my leg and call it poetry.') Certainly giving thanks to God for what she does have could be an improvement.
Uh, I didn't. I actually have a piece of poetry titled 'Mandala Dancer'.
Here's one I wrote just after watching that disgusting display/thing.
A rock, A river, A tree
Hosts to species long since departed,
Marked the mastodon.
The dinosaur, who left dry tokens
Of their sojourn here
On our planet floor,
Any broad alarm of their
hastening doom
is lost in the gloom of dust and ages.
============================================
A cigar, an intern, a lie
Thank goodness the beast is now departed
Barked Buddy, the now dead dog
The rapist who left DNA samples
Of his essence there
On our Great Seal
We sounded our clarion call
Of this nation's doom
We're lost in the legacy of Clinton
I can sing too
bf :O)
Holding you own here Mby!
Believe it or not, I've read this book, and this critic is absolutely right. "A Sung Flung Up to Heaven" is very slight, overpriced, and overrated. I'd love to read the full LA Times review of this!
