"This has inspired me to do a little experiment. I'm a newspaper writer. My plan is to use the word "niggardly" in an upcoming story (in its proper context, of course), and see how many people complain. "Please let us know how your experiment turns out. I hope it doesn't become a chink in your aspirations. Your editor may become niggardly with paychecks as pertains to you. Of course, hillbillies are fair game and you are a mountaineer. Perhaps if you put a diaper on your head and paint a red dot on your forehead you will be able to repel the evil spirits of unemployment.

"Referring to another human being as a "dick" is most certainly a vile slur." Even if his name is Richard and he says he doesn't mind? ;)

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Akwana is one of the people angry over Pepsi dropping Ludacris.
To: gitmo
If niggardly is out of bounds, what are they going to think of this:
snigger
n : a disrespectful laugh [syn: snicker, snort] v : laugh quietly [syn: snicker]

Of course, even the colors commonly found on playing cards are inherently racist. Red is the color of blood, and "Bloods" is a catchall term describing large, multi-city groups of street gangs, most of African-American descent. By Jehosephat, it gets worse! In most places where one finds Bloods, one also finds "Crips," which is an awful slur describing Differently-Abled Americans!
The cancer is everywhere, people.

Well in all seriousity it's a durn shame that the principal doesn't have the backbone God gave a horned toad...
I don't think Ms. Bell should've apologized, either. I can understand why she did, though, so as not to become the victim of some street vigilantism at the hands of ignorant dipwads looking for something to get violent about...

Remember, on Rush's television show, when he showed the financial magazine cover, stating that a company was "vanilla", and a bunch of blacks got angry over it, claiming it to be racist?

I wouldn't mind if they did away with Scott's toilet paper. It is the same as wiping your butt with crepe paper.

Use of a word that sounds like a racial slur has landed a New Hanover County teacher in the middle of a controversy.
Stephanie Bell, a fourth-grade teacher at Williams Elementary School, taught the word "niggardly" to her class last week in an effort to improve her students' vocabularies.
Now, a parent wants her fired..
Ridiculous North Carolina news ping.
