Palestinians. Known for their comedy.
"Have you heard the one about the terrorist who killed 5 Americans at Hebrew University?" Mr. Mason has every right to decide who opens for his act.

"I'm outraged," Alarabi said. "It is an act of hate and racism against Palestinians, and we demand an apology." Yea, I bet all those arabs who bought tickets to see Jackie Mason were disappointed that the palestinian guy was there.
To: Becwin
Of course he has the "right." But he deserves the bad PR. Imagine cancelling a comic because he was Jewish or Christian, etc.

It is an act of hate and racism against Palestinians, and we demand an apology.
No doubt they'll get one as soon as Palestinians show they're capable of acting in a civilized manner (i.e. not targeting civilians, policing themselves, not using civilians as shields, etc.)
The world is waiting...

Palestinians. Known for their comedy. So to you, the fact this guy's a U.S. citizen and a Vietnam vet cuts no ice. Only that he's Palestinian.
The color of his skin (eyes, hair, etc.) in other words, NOT the content of his character.
There is a word for someone who thinks that way, isn't there?

They demand an apology and everyone else is demanding that they stop the homicide bombers. Who's being unreasonable here?

this fellow mason should be ashamed ofhimself and everyone should avoid his show. There was no talk in the article that the 2'nd comic's show had politics in it at all. It is just pure racism on the part of mason.
To: jlogajan
You are correct. This is no different from the Brit/Egyptian professor who fired her Jewish colleagues because of their race.

Were I Mason, I would have given the guy a chance. If he did not do a good job, or if he made an Anti-Jewish comment, I would then demand his removal from the bill. I would also be raking my booking agent over the coals for putting me in that situation.

HOORAY! We LOVE mindless hatred as long as it's OUR mindless hatred! Speak for yourself.
I like Jackie Mason, but he's dead wrong here.

"I'm outraged," Alarabi said. "It is an act of hate and racism against Palestinians, and we demand an apology." I thought apologies were for people who regret an action...........how do you DEMAND an apology. Like they Demand that the world should follow mohammands islam.....they sure like to dictate (their) acceptable behavior to the rest of the world.

Yeah, boy are you right, I'm glad that there isn't blatant (legal) racism in this country! Like for example, what if white-owned business couldn't bid on a certain percentage of government contracts because they weren't "minority-owned", or what if whites and Asians were denied entrance to certain colleges because although they are better students they weren't the right race??? Sure glad that doesn't happen.
Get over it, I applaud Mason for acting on his beliefs. Its his show, he can have anyone he wants open for him.

Maybe if he identified himself as an American and not a Palestinian, he wouldn't have been asked not to perform.
To: RCW2001
Now this is just a wild-assed guess on my part, but I suspect that Mr. Mason's act is NOT on the arab community's must see list anyway!

Mason's gonna get blacklisted again.

Maybe if he identified himself as an American and not a PalestinianSame ol'-same ol', isn't it? You'd have been right at home in the "Know Nothing" party in the 1850s.
Can you come up with some new material, please?

Right, he would have had them rolling in the aisle singing Springtime for Yasser Arafat.
