"According to Drudge, the rating can't drop any lower. 0.1 is the lowest rating. So in actuality, the real rating could be more like 0.004 but it is posted as 0.1 because that is the lowest rating that is awarded."

I believe Drudge is wrong on this. At least, he would've been wrong ten-or-so years ago.

Anything that didn't round to 0.1 (i.e., below 0.05) was registered as an *. And a 0.0 rating would be impossible. If even one viewer was tuned to the show, it would rate an *.

Donahue an asterisk on the butt of the viewing public. I can't wait...

Iraq seems to be the one issue that drives Matthews batty and makes him veer sharly to the left. it wil be funny to watch him bitch and moan while we are taking Saddam out and to hear him admit he was wrong when it's all done.

Admitting he was wrong? Ha! That'll be the day. His show yesterday was ostensibly prompted by Dick Cheney's speech in which he outlined -- with great eloquence and in great detail -- why the U.S. must force regime change in Iraq. And he was still babbling on and on about how Bush hasn't "made the case" and how "by those standards, someone should be invading us." Such an intellecutally dishonest (or morally blind) man is hardly capable of sincerely admitting that (1) he was wrong on the facts, and (2) was wrong to sully everyone who was right for days on end.

What do you want to bet that the .1 Donohue still has represents the number of households that have lost the remote control?

Chrissy Matthews is sooooo damn mean to any and ALL conservatives, especially WOMEN that I REFUSE to watch him. Nachman has a way of stepping on interesting answers and has a HORRIBLE voice.

.1???

That's not a rating, that's a rounding error...should be '0'.

Thanks for the links. I sent them some guest ideas to get their ratings up: Jane Fonda on Vietnam, Bill Clinton shaking his finger again, Hillary telling how to raise kids, Chris Dodd on business ethics, and Al Gore on the skills of debating. That would get the ratings up for a while, don't you think?

I think Phil could probably snag a job as the star of a James Bond knock-off:

See Phil Donahue in 00.0 Man

Down 20%+ in key demographics hurts advertising rates.

Can't believe gretta is doing so well@10EDT. Wish someting good was on at that time. I just have the Freep at that time.

I trust the same thing will happen with X42. People will watch at first to see what he's like.. After a while they will be turned off with all the leftist spin and lies.

I've got no idea where Rosie is these days. I seem to recall something about her wanting to "spend more time with her family" or something like that.

But while it was on the air, I do seem to recall she had steady and pretty good ratings.

As for Clinton, you're assuming he'd do a political talk show, which I agree would fail miserably. But of course, Slick is so much more (gag) than a tawdry politician. He's so (retch) sensitive, and he feels pain, and is (barf) a sex god, and he positively glows on-stage. I could easily imagine CBS putting him in a touchy-feely show aimed at Rosie's fan base, with a little politics thrown in to liven up the love-fest.

In fact, it might well be a very effective political forum for him. And, of course, it would serve Hillary's political ambitions quite nicely indeed.

Correction: I think Phil could probably snag a job as the star of a James Bond knock-off:

See Phil Donahue in 0.0 Man

I think he'd do great as Double Zero.
