The words "fear not" appear 72 times
in 27 different books of the Bible, (KJV). I believe God said those words
repeatedly for a reason and that is for us to have confidence in Him and
trust that God will always meet our every need.
When Jesus spoke to the multitudes, He addressed worry and fear as we read
in Matthew 6:27-30 Jesus says "Which of you by worrying can add one cubit
to his stature? "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies
of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; "and yet I say to
you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of
these. "Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and
tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you
of little faith?" God wants you to focus on Him and not your present
circumstances. He is the answer for every problem, worry and fear. The
Bible declares in Mark 10:27 "With men it is impossible, but not with God;
for with God all things are possible." NKJV
Have you ever taken a few minutes to think about how big and wise God
really is? Well here are a couple of things I hope will give you strength
and comfort to trust in the Lord. In our galaxy, the milky way, there are
about 100 billion stars; that is 100,000,000,000. The Bible declares in
Psalm 147:4 "He telleth the number of the stars; He calleth them all by
their names." A star is nothing more than a mass of gas hanging in space
and yet God cares enough to name the stars and call them each by name.
How much more valuable are you to the Lord than a star? God created you
in His image and wants nothing but the best for you. He loves you and
cares about you more than you will ever know. He even knows the number of
hairs that you have on your head, so never think God has forgotten you.
(Matthew 10:30)
In Isaiah 66:1 the Bible declares that God is so big that He uses the
earth as His footstool. Imagine how big the Earth is in diameter and yet
God is so much bigger that He uses it to place His feet upon. The reason
I am sharing this is because I want you to know that there is not a
problem big enough that God cannot solve. In Him there is peace, comfort
and wisdom that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:6-7)
I encourage you to not worry about anything, but give it to God and let
Him know that you are not trusting in yourself but your confidence is in
Him. I know that God is pleased when we show such strength and assurance
that He will meet every need and bless us so much that we will not be able
to withstand His blessings. I Praise the Lord for His Word that has power
to change the worst situation into a blessing that we never thought
possible. (Malachi 3:10)
Here are a few "Fear Nots" we should always keep in mind:
Fear not; I will never leave you nor forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5-6)
Fear not; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)
Fear not; I am with you and will strengthen and help you. (Isaiah 41:10)
Fear not; Whosoever believes in Me shall have everlasting life. (John 6:47)
Fear not; Be strong and of good courage, for I will save you from your
troubles. (Isaiah 35:4)
Fear not; Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find;
knock, and it will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7)
Do not allow worry and fear to get into your thought life, but be quick to
recognize the tricks of the enemy and stand strong speaking the
scriptures. Say with your mouth "I will Not worry about anything for my
God is able to meet my needs according to His Word and promises." Be
strong and unwavered in your faith no matter how bleak your situation may
seem. Trust the Lord and know through Him you will have the Victory.
Remember, Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
things not seen. Joel 3:9 declares "Let the weak Say, they are strong."
Say it, believe it, and receive it in Jesus Name, Amen.

I finished Book 1. Having already held forth on my opinion about the book's (relatively few) "warts", I gotta say -- it's a great book. I read nearly 300 pages the day I bought it... just 'cause I couldn't put it down. I consumed the rest of the book at a more leisurely pace, but I enjoyed every page greatly.
Book II has hit the (electronic) "presses"??
To: Dubya
"Fear not, and be believeing, for I am with you, even unto the end of the world"
If we have faith in Him who is mughty to save, and honestly, sincerely and humbly let that faith guide our actions ... then we have nothing to fear.
To: Jeff Head
Amen Jeff. I need to build my faith today.
