If this guy were a Libertarian people would be using it as an example of what crackpots we are.
To: PJeffQ
Couldnt the Republicans find at least one sane candidate to run in that district? This guy is a joke.

Had the redistricting worked out right we would have had a Freeper running in the GOP primary...
as it was we had a candidate running against McLeod who didn't even live in the district and the last time he ran he didnt even fill out FEC disclosure forms...

Islam is not "a true religion; it's a cult." He said, "there's nothing peaceful about that religion. It says kill or be killed." He also called Islam's founder a "demon-possessed pedophile," and said Mohammed slept with a 9-year-old girl, one of his wives; He's right on this much, anyway.
To: PJeffQ
Gary McLeod calls Islam a murderous cult, says the government created AIDS to kill black people, and believes women don't need to be equal to men.I wish I could vote for him!

So you think women should fight alongside men in the army? How about Islam you think its a peaceful religion? How would you explain followers of Islam fighting Hindu's, Christians, Jews, Buddiests, Taoists and agnostics currently? He is off on AIDS however 1/3 is not bad.

Except for the AIDS thing (where did that come from?), I think most conservatives would love to say these things, but are afraid of being non PC.

"His comments are a disgrace",
"disgusting",
"deeply troubling",
"outrageous",
"18th and 19th century mentality". All true. But not one denial of what he states as fact.
To: itzmygun
I'm with this guy on everything but the AIDS remarks. I'm with Jesse Helms on that.

McLeod's comments were met with a mix of anger and disgust among Muslim leaders, AIDS experts, and women's advocates.Sounds like he is pissing off all the right people, so I would be voting for McLeod.

McLeod is a sacrificial lamb who has run several times... the seat is the one congressional one in SC that is majority black...

...the seat is the one congressional one in SC that is majority black... Ah ha. The bit about AIDS is explained. I certainly don't believe the govt created AIDS, but some people do.
Still, it's pretty odd.
To: PJeffQ
He said McLeod's claim that Mohammed was a pedophile has been refuted by most Muslim scholars, who agree that the prophet's wife Aisha was not a child when they married. Suuuure.
Apparently this Muslim spokesman thinks we are fools who cannot read and will believe any lie no matter how blatant.
Excuse me while I barf.

This man is an apostate and an idiot. He is on tv all the time blabbering his lies. Some Christian guy made him look like an absolute fool the other day on Fox and Friends. It was great.

The GOP leadership disavows this guy, but the Democrats embrace McKinney and her ilk.

"18th and 19th century mentality".
Actually, the 18th and especially 19th Centuries were the greatest cultural centuries in the history of mankind. There were problems--i.e. slavery--but otherwise you can't say all that much against that period of history.

Is McLeod black?
