Could you please post this to your list? While it is not politics or Catholicism, I think it's pro-life. Plus, it's about my family. :)

Are you a parent or one of the children?

People like you amaze me! I just spent a week watching my two grandchildren, and I am whipped!

God bless you all for your devotion to family life! Great story!

LOL. I am a dad and husband to the most incredible woman on earth. Honestly, there is nothing special about us. God has just blessed us tremendously.

This piece from the morning show puffers sounds like something they would trek up to the Appalachians for just to show us how G.W. Bush has "let down the large family" and they have to fend for themselves.

Anything from "Good Bowel Movement America" is suspect and ripe for ripping...

Huh?

the eight biological kids and the nine adopted ones

I have worked in adoption, you are not allowed to adopt even one kid much less nine of them unless you can care for them. So where do you get the idea that this is going to be an attack on GWB for letting large families down?

Out of mild curiosity, do you homeschool? We have lots of families in my homeschool group that are large (though not this large!) Six is nothing, a few have 10-12 kids!

I admit you are way too deep for me.

I have the comfort of knowing I am not the only one who hasn't gotten your posts on this thread.

Yes we homeschool. Actually, we have homeschooled exclusively, but we just moved into a small rural school district and six of the children will attend part time and five will attend full time. We really try to do what we feel is best for each individual child. Public schools can offer some things we can't (especially electives) and a couple of the children require standard HS diplomas, since they probably will not go to college.

As far as homeschooling families, they out produce standard families three-fold, on average. It is incredible how many children these single-income families can support on an average wage. It's almost as if determination still existed in America!

We have two 15-passenger vans at the moment, but I really want a small bus. My wife absolutely refuses to even consider it. I even found a compact 36 seater with bathroom and a VCR and she wouldn't even look at it! After all these years, I still cannot understand her. LOL

Boy, you're really managing to irk all sorts of left wing wackos...the anti SUV crowd, the population control crowd, the pro-abortion crowd, the public teachers union...

And you ought to see how intimidated they get when we are all there in person! LOL

However, we always use the carpool lane; we have adopted over half; (sorry, abortionists can go to hell); and my wife has her liberal arts degree. ;)
