Republican Jim Behnke (retired Army Lt.Col) is running for Congress in this 8th Arizona Congressional district along the Mexican border. One of his primary campaign planks is that he wants to deploy the military to secure our borders.

He's running against RINO Jim Kolbe (openly gay, pro-abortion [Kolbe voted against Partial Birth Abortion Ban 7 times out of 7], pro-China appeasement, pro-NAFTA, pro-WTO, pro-open borders [Kolbe cast the deciding vote in the last 245(i) Amnesty vote], pro-UN, pro-gun control [Kolbe voted for Brady Act and cast deciding vote on 'Assault Weapons' ban], etc.) in the Primary Election on September 10th. Behnke is running a purely grassroots campaign against Kolbe's $1.6million campaign warchest. Behnke needs all the support he can get from FReepers in this close race.

My sister will soon be entering the Border Patrol herself. When I read about things like this, and listen to things like Ken Hamblin's interview with a woman on the US side of the border that is trying to sell her property because illegals keep trashing it, I have to wonder if she really knows what she is getting herself into.

Hat's off to Agent Malone for being more concerned with the safety of his co-workers. There's a lot of emotion down there now. Tom Tancredo attended the funeral in Ajo, Monday, of the Ranger that was killed. I'd bet Malone would get plenty of support if he were admonished for trying to spread the truth.

The American people simply don't give a damn about controlling our borders. I just spent four months, full-time, running for congress on that issue. I quit my job and dedicated my very life to going to the people with a passionate plea to stop illegal immigration. Most people think something should have been done about it a long time ago but think it is now too late. The American people have thrown up their hands. I seriously suggest everybody simply look out for yourselves because your government will not control the borders and there is little political will among everyday people to stop this madness. We must prepare to defend ourselves. The direction this invasion is heading is going to end up very ugly.
