Uh, what mind?
the post-modern age of switch-flip-spin-DEFORMITY-cancer...
Atheist secular materialists through ATHEISM/evolution CHANGED-REMOVED the foundations...demolished the wall(separation of state/religion)--trampled the TRUTH-GOD...built a satanic temple/SWAMP-MALARIA/RELIGION(cult of darwin-marx-satan) over them---made these absolutes subordinate--relative...
and calling/CHANGING/REDACTING from the Absolute---
all the... residuals---technology/science === TO evolution via schlock/sMUCK IDEOLOGY/lies/bias...
to substantiate/justify/validate their efforts--claims...social engineering--PC--atheism...anti-God/Truth RELIGION(USSC monopoly)--and declared a crusade/WAR--JIHAD--INTOLERANCE/TYRANNY(breaking the establishment clause)...against God--man--society/SCIENCE!!
switch at birth---
now we have this evo-LIBERAL SCHLOCK monster...soviet America!
How about agreeing that Stalin's birth post-dates the origin of the human species (and of life on earth, the earth itself, and the universe) and thus none of the latter are influenced by the former?
I've no problem with the spiritual being more important than the material, however, I'm not convinced that the spiritual is separate from the material. I think the spiritual is the manifestation of the material.
The Republicans are playing flag football...and the devilcrats are playing dwarf(God) wrestling---tossing!!
No. And conversly you can come up with absolutely perverse ideas that in a specfic instance actually leads to good.
But a view that teaches we serve the universe by loving our neighbor is more likely to result in good than a view that survival is the reward of the fit.
So what happens to imperfect self-replicators if there is a god and if there isn't one? I'd say for such a scenario the existence of a god is not important.
They cite the source as Yaroslavsky's Landmarks in the Life of Stalin (Moscow: Foreign Languages Publishing house, 1940), pp. 8-12.
The Institute for Creation Research transcribes the passage:
At a very early age, while still a pupil in the ecclesiastical school, Comrade Stalin developed a critical mind and revolutionary sentiments. He began to read Darwin and became an atheist.Landmarks does appear to be a real book according to this site
G. Glurdjidze, a boyhood friend of Stalin's, relates: "I began to speak of God, Joseph heard me out, and after a moment's silence, said:
"`You know, they are fooling us, there is no God. . . .'
"I was astonished at these words, I had never heard anything like it before.'
"`How can you say such things, Soso?' I exclaimed.
"I'll lend you a book to read; it will show you that the world and all living things are quite different from what you imagine, and all this talk about God is sheer nonsense,' Joseph said.
"`What book is that?' I enquired.
"`Darwin. You must read it,' Joseph impressed on me"
I could not find the book on-line so I was unable to independently confirm the citation. If, however, the citation is accurate, -- and I have no reason to doubt it -- it appears that Darwin was a prime influence, if not the prime influence, on Stalin's view of morality.
