What Jim R decides to do with this website is his business. If he wants to make money fine. If he wants to charge an annual fee, fine. If he wants to go to Hawaii, fine. That's his business. I only hope that he doesn't resort to pop-ups.

JR out of the goodness of his heart and patriotism to his country provided this forum for thousands of conservatives who otherwise would merely be venting to their spouses and the mirror. The man merely has asked that his expenses be covered -- it's only right...

As to the question of the ages -- Should Jim Robinson make a buck or two from his sometimes thankless website -- WHY NOT??

Non-profit groups can always pay salaries to hired workers. What is the difference here? Don't Jim and his son work for FR? Why don't they take a salary already? Hell, I pay my monthly fee to use the site, and I expect it to be functioning properly when I come here. That means someone should be getting paid for that purpose.

Agreed. It's his site. He can and should be able to do whatever he wants with it, period (to include make as much money as possible).

I have found the AM's on FR to be very fair, and even somewhat lenient. The AM has a job to do. A job which is subjective. Since I'm sure there is more than one AM, it only makes sense that the guidelines would be inconsistant. However, I do not take that as an act of unfairness, but a matter of personality differences. What one person thinks is out of line may not be the same as another person's.

I would like to see FR considered like an information store.

Everyone is free to browse if
a they've had a bath
b don't use foul language
c don't offend other browsers.

In other words " No shoes, no socks, no shirt, NO SERVICE
The article posters are the suppliers to this store.
Without them we have nothing to be browsering for.

The donors are the customers, and we want to treat our customers right.

The Moderators are the clerks in tbis information store.

They should be helpful, courteous, and explain the products.

And of course they should hussle the unclean, drunks, pick pockets, etc. out the door.
