I agree with that approach -- one or two reasoned responses and then I quit.

This is my approach. If I receive a responds that is not on point such as "Hitler would love you." then there is no point in going any further.

I read a lot more than I post. I have found FreeRepublic a fantastic source of information, and have been amazed at the type and depth of knowledge posters on this forum have.

As I said back in #141 on this thread, I thought the flame wars were caused by, and were about, those who were trying to use the "divide and conquer" agenda.

You know, those "Republicans" who publicly - and even in liberal venues - state that they are "not Bush Republicans", and those "Conservatives" who file lawsuits against the administration in an apparent attempt to discredit it.

I agree that blind worship of or allegiance to any human is a bad idea. But there are ways to disagree with specific policies without giving the other side more ammunition.
