Wait just a doggone minute.......

They get 75 people on a yacht and all that food, for $6,000.00.Sheeesh, thats $80.00 per. This company should be run by whoever planned the party, one heck of a deal.(I think someone forgot a zero somewhere in the tally, which is the problem rampant in corporate America today.)

Ebbers should have funded a REAL celebration out of his pocket. The Yacht should have had full casino gambling, company staked. The award winning employees should GET their yacht bachanalia, and they should all go to Jamaica or St. Thomas like they were promised. Bernie should pay for all of it from his pocket. The people busting their asses all year, servicing customers and building the business ethically, succeeding in their goals and achieving above all other - hey, the rest of the staff needs to WANT that treatment, and be incented to work for it.

I agree, $60,000 seems more likely!!! They do have problems telling the truth, don't they?

...Ebbers should have funded a REAL celebration out of his pocket.

The problem here is that Bernie didn't / doesn't / will never give a rats ass about WorldCom employees.

, just demonstrate the skill or ambition necessary to create value for you employer, and someone will pay you for it. Pretty simple. If you think you are underpaid, make your case for a raise to your boss or go elsewhere.
If you don't like working at WorldCom ... you don't have to wait for a Canadian "youth festival" to defect. You just walk into your bosses office, shake his/her hand and say ... "Thanks for your support and friendship. How can I help you and my replacement in the transition?"

There's no indentured servitude in America.

Hey, Mister Nobody can do it like me,
What the F*CK does this post mean?
Did you just too consumed in your little marketing world and post to the wrong person.

Thanks for the ping. This is just sick. They can justify laying off 17,000 people in one swoop, meanwhile these jerks can party off the companies dime like the stock is still in the $75+ range.

Build up the sales teams all you want, but if what they are selling is junk, there is no customer or technichal support then the customer is screwed. It takes all the parts of a company to make things run smoothly and make a company profitable. To single one group or department out as "gold" is unfair to the rest of the 60,000 employees and does nothing but foster resentment.

The majority of Worldcom employees did not get year-end raises, benefits have been slashed, incentive and merit programs are gone, too, well I guess for everybody except for this group. How can they possibly justify this?
