While I don't have details yet, the next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, August 13 at 4-4:30 p.m. in Benton.
To: Budge; Travelgirl; TheBattman; wirestripper; parsifal; FreetheSouth!; pulaskibush; Don Friovinai; ..
PING!
Any of y'all have anything to add?
To: sweetliberty
Yes! Start having some meeting in NWA or Ft. Smith!
To: Arkansawyer
Fort Smith area is doable. If you FReepmail me your email address, we can stay in contact about future meetings.

In South Carolina we started an email discussion list at Topica.com and are encouraging the SC FReepers to join that list. Hopefully this will promote lively discussion between meetings concerning SC events/issues, will allow us to discuss chapter business (out of the eye of the public forum) and hopefully will allow us to keep in touch with people who aren't regular lurkers or posters.
Also, an email list separate from FR will allow us to take up chapter business and local events without using FR bandwidth.
Can't tell you how it's working yet because we just started it, but it might be an avenue for us keep in touch better. The key is getting all the FReepers to subscribe to the list.

Thanks for the information. It is something to keep in mind. Let us know how it works out.

I'm not from Arkansas, but PUHLEEZE reelect Gov. Mike Huckabee. He's just the nicest man, and he has a terrific band -- as he demonstrated at the FreeRepublic Ball at the Inauguration.
To: sweetliberty
Will do, and good luck to y'all in Arkansas!

We would love to have a meeting either in Fort Smith or NWA. Where do you think more people would come? If we have a meeting in Fort Smith, would you find a restaurant that has a private room?
We have two Freepers in Fort Smith that came to one of our meetings in LR and I'm sure they would go to one in Ft Smith and maybe Fayetteville.
I'm pretty sure Miss Anne could round up some people to come if it was in Fayetteville. They might even come to Fort Smith.
Please give us your ideas on your request.
Thanks,
To: sweetliberty
You did very good., thanks. I'll get information on our August meeting this week (I've been out of town). Looks like we might have our September meeting in Ft Smith.
To: afraidfortherepublic
Thanks, we'll do our best. Glad you like our CURRENT Governor.

I'm thinking of selling my home in Arizona and moving back to Arkansas. I am an electronics technician who received my education from a 12 month Army electronics course (MOS 33S10 Electronic Warfare Intercept Systems Repairer) from 1/84 to 1/85. I currently work at
RF Code in Mesa, Arizona. My wife graduated in May with an AS degree in Computer Networking and is currently seeking an entry-level job in a saturated job market.
I would prefer to live in central Arkansas near my father (Sardis) and brother (Avilla). I also have friends in Benton (HS grad. '83) and Paron (JHS). Do any of you know of any potential employers worth checking out?
Any and all referrals, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated!
To: parsifal
Parsy, you're spending too much time at the DU. Hehehe....behave.
To: occam's chainsaw
I don't right off hand, but we'll keep an eye out. We'd love to have you.
To: sweetliberty
Slap myself! Slap myself! Thanks. I needed that. I keep forgetting who I am. parsy the arkansas freeper.

If we have a meeting in Fort Smith, we might want to inform the Oklahoma people.
